Je deteste le Francais! Ils ont tres mouvais. Tu es brule en hell!
You hate the french! something something somehting. You go burn in hell! was that about right? |
Out of curiosity, would Therion be considered some form of power metal?
I know they are more rooted in symphonic metal, but do they have power metal elements? Im only asking cause I picked up Lemuria/Sirius B yesterday...still haven't listened to the whole thing, but I've heard tracks from both, and both are excellent. |
Who are Biomechanical and what do they do?
|

was that about right?
Yeah it said: I hate the french! They are very bad. You go burn in hell! I tried to say "they should go burn in hell" I've been taking french classes for 2 years. . .I'm not quite fluent. |
Cries becuase he has french blood.
Who are Biomechanical and what do they do?
They're prog metal in the modern nevermore style, only they have more groove ala pantera and more traditional vocals. Besides, the term power metal is very broad nowadays. For the record Therion originally started as a death metal band. |
Hehe, Therion have insanely funny lyrics for their first few albums.
|
So anyone saying Biomechanical are power needs a kick in the balls?

Really? Never noticed :p
So anyone saying Biomechanical are power needs a kick in the balls?
Not really since it's tough to put a label on bands like this. It's not accurate either though :\ |

Order everything from TheEndRecords.com if you can. That, or CenturyMedia.com. Both are fantastic and have pretty much all powermetal albums available for us in the western world. :)
|
I ordered A rise to power and one step beyond for £6 each.
 |
Why are Pagan's Mind so good? I'm really loving this album.

Is that Under The Rising Sun? What is the DVD like? I've been trying to decide to whether or not to pick it up, or wait for Dungeons Final Release, whenever that may be (I am incredibly broke). Anyway, Resurrection (re-release) or A Rise To Power would be fine choices. I can't comment on One Step Beyond as I've heard nothing from it. |

For me its the harmony and obvious techniek of the guitars with the drumpaterns that are complex but fit really well. And its one of the few Poweresk bands that has an audible bassline. |

I can't comment on One Step Beyond as I've heard nothing from it.
One Step Beyond has probably the best "songs" on there, by that I mean they're not necessarily as progressive as the earlier albums but they're good solid songs and HEAPS of solos! :thumb: Under The Rising Sun... well, the live show is really cool and the behind the scenes stuff is a lot of fun and fairly interesting. It's let down a bit by the length of the show (we only had 45 minutes allocated to us) and a bit of the footage is a bit crappy thanx to some of the cameras being set up wrong, but there was no way we were gonna bail on this footage because of that! It's a good example of what Dungeon was like circa 2003 live if nothing else and the band was on fire that night! :) It's worth getting I think, but if you're clever you'd get the LMP limited release of One Step Beyond which comes bundled with the Under The Rising Sun DVD, a few bonus tracks and a bonus video clip on the album. :) Dunno if the last album is gonna be any good yet so get the ones which don't suck first! HAHAHA! |

HAHAHA!
That actually sounds rather good. /checks some on-line stores And I'm glad you guys managed to get a venue for a final Brisbane show. I'm delaying my trip home by a week to see ya's, but it'll be totally worth it. :D |
The Dungeon cd is 'one step beyond' and the dvd is called 'Under the rising sun' dvd is cool i wasnt expecting them to sound that good live but they do
Legend of Huma is now my fav Dungeon song:thumb: Also i got Galloglass' album today, all i can think to say is wow, it's is amazingly brilliant (i recomend you all drop what you are doing and go buy it) |
I think I got the non-enhanced One step beyond, that's why it was so cheap...
Babies come and go but this album will be with you forever...unless it breaks
(why don't my smilies work?)
Cruel...I like it. :p Hey, if the Dungeon cd comes bundled with a live DVD, I know what I'm buying...:D |
Babies break easier than CDs
|
Cruel...I like it. :p
Hey, if the Dungeon cd comes bundled with a live DVD, I know what I'm buying...:D
The dvd and cd are great and when you watch the dvd you can see how much the japanease like their bikes |
And I'm always amazed at how much the Japanese go crazy over metal! It's not like it's a part of their music culture - but they love it.
|
Yeah japanese are some of the least likely looking people to like metal, can't wait till i can play a gig in japan it looks like so much fun
|
Their metal bands make me smile; try as I might, Japanese people look odd performing it. Nothing racist about it, just looks about as odd as a big fat hairy white dude doing Sumo.....
|
Are you trying to crush ollie's dream of being a sumo champion? :D
|
I just realized a few weeks ago that the guitarists from Dragonforce are Asian...:amaze:
Then again, my guitar teacher's advice rings true: Berklee school of music is full of Japanese guys who play guitar better than everyone else. |
