Cool.

Joe 11-24-2005 02:14 PM
It has 3 :p
Just for the one part though. It's not even needed. They have plenty of songs with three guitar parts that they fully play live with just two guitars

fatbandit 11-24-2005 02:24 PM

Yeh, but most of them the bass covers one part, right? Seeing as it plays what the rhythm guitar would.

Like the backing to the harmonised solo in One.

:smash:
What's the other video on the website? I would go to it but my PC is acting up.

How is Guitar?

Happy Thanksgiving
Yeah, nobody got hurt, just my computer :(

Guitar is ****ing awesome, I got my PS-6 working, and bloody hell, nicest guitar I've ever played on, I'm doing Holy Wars, Master of Puppets, and For Whom The Bell Tolls perfectly these days, I'm getting the gallops in Battery down now... :D

Awsome man I can't wait to hear you play (you are gonna post some stuff sometime right?)

I had the most amazing Jam session today! it was all acoustic guitars at this little building. we had like 8 people going this guy was going off on harmonica
another dude was using his acoustic like a percussive instrement. then this
really old guy came in and started playing this piano...so it was all ray charles
Johny Cash and old country stuff like that. It was so much fun! then I busted
out FTB and they loved it.

Best jam session ever then at the end everyone wanted me to come play with them on the weekend!

Chu 11-24-2005 11:36 PM

I lost all my recordings, except for ONE I have of us doing For Whom The Bell Tolls (With Slapping Penguin on Lead Guitar), which is on my iPod (Because we have/had no vocalist, when it came to the 3rd verse (Maybe the 2nd, I haven't listened to it for a while), Slapping Penguin just improved a solo, it's really cool imo, so it's on my iPod :p).

Jev 11-25-2005 02:59 AM

I'm trying to borrow my mates Jackson V. It's so sexy. I just messed around playing random notes as fast as possible and even that sounded nice on it.
CHU UPLOAD

Just got S+M at last, I've had it copied for a while but it's good to own it on cd. got it for £6.99 :D

Joe 11-25-2005 12:37 PM

6.99?? WHAT?!?!

I got mine burned from a friend  along with ...And Justice for All, several Iron Maiden albums, a few Led Zeppelin, some Stevie Ray Vaughan, and some Jimi.

Quoted for truth. Is there any other reason to have them?

The only burned cds I've paid for are (I regret this) Nelly (5th grade) and the MIAWTW tour show I got from my friend
Quoted for truth. Is there any other reason to have them?
To get drunk? To do your homework?

Metallion#666 11-25-2005 12:47 PM

Nelly!?!?

Kyle 11-25-2005 03:50 PM

I know I was so suprised....I always lift up the metallica cd's in shops to look at their prices and I always see like £16.99. But this was like a backstreet music shop (always the best!) and all the albums were cheap.

It's annoying how expensive CD's are

Kyle 11-25-2005 04:48 PM

not today though:D Not only did I get S+M for £6.99 but Pride and Glory (self titiled) for £5 (any album with zakk wylde usually costs about £15) and Qotsa first album for a £5 also.

Britton 11-25-2005 05:51 PM

That's cool. We do have a place called Half Price books where they're cd's
are 6 to 10 bucks. But there is no selection

timmySmi 11-25-2005 06:04 PM

I ownly just purchased Kill Em All and AAJFA from HMV they were in a sale for £5 each! bloody bargain considering in Virgin there both £20 to buy.

Glad I brought AAJFA I always did'nt feel like buying it because the bass was purposley turned down. But for £5 I thought heck to it and god I was Naive it's easily metallica's best album Blackened, One, To Live Is To Die & the almighty Dyer's eve are some of the best stuff they've written you can clearly tell what a dark album it is especially after Cliff's passing.

Cliff Burton wrote To Live Is to Die.

Cliff (R.I.P) died before that album came out.
Cliff (R.I.P) died before that album came out.
He probably wrote it and they didn't use it until after he died. Duh

Just like Dave helped write lots of stuff on Metallica's early albums, they just wern't used till he was gone.

PepsiMetal 11-25-2005 09:24 PM

Some kind of monster is on MTV2 right now in case anyone is interested.

Joe 11-25-2005 09:30 PM
Cliff Burton wrote To Live Is to Die.
To an extent, he wrote many of the riffs and the poem in the middle. He never made it into a song though, the other three made it into one after his death using a medley of his old riffs, some new ones, and the poem.

Not really, he was kicked out before their first recording sessions for KEA as I recall. They recorded a few demos with him though.
Nelly!?!?

Oh I was, I through it out three years ago.
