Cos all the little 'Rockers' at my school look up to him and think he is a prime example of 'Rock 'N' Roll'. He also cannot sing, he is ugly and I just dislike his love for ties.

He also seems to think that it's acceptable to a. encourage self harm and b. Label himself "punk", both of which are equally innappropriate

I honestly dont ever remember labelling himself as 'punk', and certainly havent heard of encouraging self harm. As for the little kids, they will categorize him incorrectly because they dont know any better.

And on the subject of 'cannot sing', some of the crap people listen to here can barely be classed as music :p

I seem to remember a music video in which he was clearly seen holding knives, and covering walls with bloody handprints.

Also some greenday merch carries the slogan "Kiss me, I'm punk", which would imply they consider their fans, and thus themselves, punk.

Not him in the video cutting his hands, just because their clothing says something, doesnt mean they agree with it. Music companies will put anything out for sale providing it could make a profit.

I just get annoyed when people start to moan about GD. They make one album, with no more than 2 songs politically based, and all of a sudden they have "sold out".

They've done political songs before this album, no-one said anything about it then.

It annoys me how they're still being given "best album" and "best rock band" awards off the back of American Idiot.
