I have mine set up to look like vista a bit and my dad has his to look exactly like MacOS 10.
Cool, mine is all black with some MacOS 10 touches. I simply LOOOVE the cube, haha, that's the best thing of Ubuntu. |
sorry if i uh couldnt do the inhales loud enough
|
cube doesnt work on mine for some reason. I have wobbly boxes and when i minimise or close a box there is fire and i used to have it so it looked like there were neons behind every window but it started to hurt my eyes so i got rid of them
|
sorry if i uh couldnt do the inhales loud enough
:') I didn't realize how loudly I could project them until just now.:o |
How do you do the neon thing? I have my Beryl setting in random so everytime it closes a window different effects happen etc.
And my cube is pretty cool since I have a video always playing behind it :) |
to do the neons you have to go to your custom effects-window decorations then turn your shadows to opaque and change the color. It doesnt work with some beryl themes so you might have to turn it off and have a play
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/Big80smullet/Screenshot-2.png thats what they look like. Excuse the horrible background it was the first day i set it up and i didnt have internet so i jst made it in gimp in like 3 seconds so i didnt have to look at the orange |
Sweet, it worked!
Thanks, man. My friend has another type of Ubunut especially build for music, it's so ****ing awesome but I have to download and install eveyrthing I already did on this one and it was a pain in the ***, haha. |
i heard of that. im working on getting mythbuntu installed. Its a media centre ubuntu so i can do tivo style things on linux
|
That's awesome, I'll look into that too!
It's nice to know another Ubunut user :p haha |
omg linux
meh I'm getting 64 bit Vista with my new PC. :D |
One Missed Call has 00% on RottenTomatoes.
|
ghey. i hope you enjoy paying extra for a substandard product that will likely **** you over in the future. You do realise that if vista doesnt like the software you put on it, ie it deems them inappropriate according to its DRM standards it will shut down permanently and the only way to unlock it is to buy another copy of vista. oh and in the T&C you sign when you use vista it says that microsoft is allowed to do it and you have no recourse.
Ill stick with ubuntu. They have it in 64 bit as well :/ |
ghey. i hope you enjoy paying extra
omg an extra $15 for OEM is so much extra
for a substandard product
Matter of opinion, I know many people that love it.
You do realise that if vista doesnt like the software you put on it, ie it deems them inappropriate according to its DRM standards it will shut down permanently and the only way to unlock it is to buy another copy of vista.
omg no wai srsly? It would be nice of you to back up those claims with some evidence instead of just spouting propaganda siphoned off the Apple-led Vista hate machine.
Ill stick with ubuntu. They have it in 64 bit as well :/
Yeah but I play real games. |
Seriously, Luc, Vista is the worst piece of **** ever.
|
It's 7.42 AM and I'm off to bed a second time this night (or whatever it right now).

That's what everyone said about XP as well when it first came out.
http://www.information-age.com/article/2001/december/windows_xp_sales_disappoint http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/forum/windows-xp/319-win-98-better-than-windows-xp.html http://4peeps.com/ivb/index.php?showtopic=208&st=80&start=80 http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_zdext/is_200111/ai_ziff17971 http://discuss.pcmag.com/forums/thread/13671069.aspx Oh and have you actually used it for yourself or have you just watched one too many Mac vs PC ads? |
People said that about XP when XP came out because it was a piece of **** initially. It's still pretty terrible but SP2 made it at least useful.
And the Mac vs PC ads are mostly true. Windows will always be a downgraded Mac OS with thousands more menus and overcomplicated file structures. Sorry man but Vista can suck my nuts. |
Yeah, XP wasn't that good either.
And yes luc, I've used Vista a bunch of times and it simply sucks. |
Interestingly enough a lot of Mac users are liking Vista.
Well Mike I used it on my dad's computer once and yes my experience was terrible. However I've used it since then on decent computers and it runs really well and feels great to use. I get fed up with Mac OS X after 10 minutes of use, not because I don't know how to use it, but because it's cumbersome and slow in comparison to even XP. |
Besides Linux is getting more support everywhere so meh.
