PaulSimonon 12-10-2004 07:48 AM

My school had a two hour delay. After I got there. So I'm trapped, in limbo.

PaulR 12-10-2004 07:49 AM

Wintermute 12-10-2004 07:50 AM

Hey all
Since I have been posting regularly on mx my grade in my first block has dropped 14%. Just thought that was kind of amusing. What's goin on besides sandwhiches?

twopelu 12-10-2004 08:35 AM

Hi all!

Ive just come from a music shop and I have some info and some opinions.

They were two Fender -precious- Aerodynes in the shop, and I was thinking about getting one if Id liked it but I tried and I was hugely dissapointed. It doesnt sound as full and Growly as a P and no way as punchy as a J. I want feel any confortable with it, the nick was to skinny, thing and little...mehh. After that I tryed an Epiphone Thunderbird, goth, it looks quite good, all black you know, but it doesnt played that good. It sounded better than the aerodyne, IMO, with that fat and growly charasteristic (sp?) tone. But it wasnt what Ive been looking for, a little disapointed too, and it feels so cheapy you know.

In the shop they were some high value basses, a Tobias 5 string on sale for 1500 euros, some Gibsons, and an incredible fretless upright-kind, really strange.

SO, considering I didnt like the Fender, the thing will be between the Tribute 200 and the SUB, Ill teel you when I try them, maybe next week.

Thats my report. ;)

Mitchell Royce 12-10-2004 08:36 AM

existentialist pondering and mudhoney apparently.

twopelu 12-10-2004 08:37 AM

Friday, finally. Tomorrow is jamming day in the morning, nice nice.

(But this afternoon will be boring, surely, any interesting thing to do?)

Mitchell Royce 12-10-2004 08:40 AM

I'm listening to Slint, does that count as an interesting thing to do?
How's the weather down in spain?

twopelu 12-10-2004 08:48 AM

Grey day here, some clouds, but not rainy at least. Its cold, but nothing compared to your weather I think. About 5-10º maybe.

Yesterday the day was lovely, Its was really sunny, a clear day, but it was cold too. I love that kind of winter days, I hate rainy days or dark days, Im quite weather-sensible.

What band is that? I dont know anything about it...

Mitchell Royce 12-10-2004 08:50 AM

Hmm, sounds like pretty similar to what it's like up here except like 0 degrees. God, I hate german weather. I'd've thought that it would better in spain. Whereabouts there do you live anyways?

Edit: I don't blame you for not having heard of Slint. They are somewhat known in the american indy scene, but that seems to be about it.. They make abrasive, drawn out post-rock of sorts(No clue how to describe them really).

twopelu 12-10-2004 08:58 AM

I live in Madrid, the capital, so the weather is Continentalized (sp?) Mediterranean, usually sunny, just some rainy days in Autumn and Spring , but the rest is peaceful and warmy, not too coldy but Summer is really hot in this city. Usually you cant find any shadow to hide from the sun and you get fried at 40º in the streets. Luckily Im not here in summer. I usually go to the coast, to a little Village in castellon (the east coast) and in that place the weather is always warm and calm, even in that season. Theres lots of german, french and english people in our coast ;)

In the shouth, Andalucia and Murcia, they have good weather all the year, no rainy days, always warm in winter and really hot in summer. They are lucky.

But in the north, the weather is quite similar to yours I think. Cloudy and rainy days, just warm temperatures in summer. I really hate that altough their fields and landscapes are so beutiful.

edit: any SLint cd to download?...ok...to "buy" lol

Mitchell Royce 12-10-2004 09:07 AM

I guess I should apologize for all the retarded german tourists you must have come across. There's something about Germans in a foreign land, most of us seem to expect to find the same things as in Germany just in a more exotic locale. I think Italy and Mallorca get the worst of it really.
I have resolved to one day visit your city, from all I've heard it is beautiful(and apparantly has no laws against walking around naked). Going out with a hot girl from Madrid has only furthered my desire to explore you culture;) If I'm still around here by then I'll hit you up.
Allright, I'm off for now, gonna make myself some food. Talk to you later.

Edit: here's a couple of Slint songs I like: Darlene, Carol, Nosferatu Man an cellar song. There's also a marvellous live cover of "Cortez the Killer" floating around on Kazaa.

twopelu 12-10-2004 09:15 AM

Of, course hit me, I can be a good tourist guide...

Theres some beutiful girls here, be sure, but Ive never seen any walking naked... ;)

Mallorca is a nice place to go in holidays, some nice german girls there, but I personally prefer spanish...or italian.

See you later Mitchell.

P.D. My sister goes to Berlin the next week. Curious thing.

Rollo47 12-10-2004 09:16 AM

If so, I need the copyright information for Stu Hamm's bass solo

Mitchell Royce 12-10-2004 10:07 AM

Rollo47 12-10-2004 10:21 AM
