Some days, I hit terrible writing blocks. It doesn't speak any less about you as a writer, it's just some days you feel the words, and sometimes you don't. There hasn't been a single piece of poetry I've written in the past... oh, geez, since before last year's uni term let out... that I haven't been happy with.

Just keep on writing and fight through it.

I could never write lyrics, and I have little interest to do so. I was never interested in lyrics, and I generally don't pay attention to them (meaning I don't try to figure out what they mean). It's more about how words are being screamed/sung rather than what is being screamed/sung.

Lyrics gain power to me by the power with which they are sung. For example, [url]http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/therisktaken/endcommence.html#1[/url] . "Lay Waste To The Plague" doesn't have amazing lyrics. But the strength that the lead screams just makes them so much better to me.

Definitely, the delivery of lyrics has so much of an effect on their impact.

I've never been a lyricist either... Generally, in my band the bassist writes the lyrics and I write songs with them. It works better this way because my lyrics are always crap, and his songwriting is generally pretty dire.

Heh, I tore all the muscles in my legs when I was trying out for soccer for like 3 hours a day then going to karate for an hour or two. One morning I woke up, and my legs wouldn't bend. It was scary. And hard to get in the shower because it was a bath too, I had to like fall in :-\
