Did you see both parts together? The first one was more action oriented and the second brought the story together, but you really needed both to make it the complete film it really was. You also have to be in the right mood for it I guess.

He's kind of a pacifist/environmentalist character, which I idnetify with. On top of that he's a badass and such, so I identify with that too ;)

I've never seen Freddy Got Fingered, never even wanted to. I recently got the movie Alice's Restaurant (library's have the coolest movies) and it's pretty good. Not what I expected, but in some way what it's sort of exactly what I expected.

Does anyone else get extremely sentimental at the end of the movie Blow? Maybe I just have a thing for movies about bad guys (or coke dealers even...Goodfellas is another great one), but I've cried before while watching Blow.

edit- I forgive you Splat Out Plath (is that your name? I can't remember, it's kinda tricky) but you should definitely see Scarface...I've never seen the other one so I can't judge.

Well in terms of feeling sympathetic with "bad guys" at the end of movies, I felt horrible at the end of Das Boot.

Well he was the main character. He's a good actor though, I recently saw that movie The Ninth Gate for the first time. I had been avoiding it because I thought it was a horror movie, and I get scared easily...it wasn't scary though. Who wouldn't like a movie with Johnny Depp starring as a book detective.

Scarface is certainly not the greatest film ever. I'm not sure where you even got that notion, to be honest. For a better, yet somewhat similar movie with Al Pacino in it, watch Carlito's Way if you haven't seen it. That's an amazing movie.

Sleepy Hollow's actually the only Johnny Depp film I haven't liked so far.

Yeah I wouldn't say it's the greatest. It's in my top ten favourites for sure though. Never seen Carlito's Way. Or Sleepy Hollow for that matter. I watched Finding Neverland on a plane one time and I think I was the only person that stayed awake to see it. I enjoyed it...Johnny Depp always plays honourable roles in films. Hahaha...if you're the type of guy who finds being a pirate honourable. I sure am.

I didn't like Scarface all that much. It was way too long, and by the end Pacino was starting to bug the hell out of me. He has done much better.

Tarantino fans have ruined Tarantino movies for me, personally.

I agree with this, but aside from that, Tarantino is a Hollywood-bred director who has yet to develop/establish a personal and unique style. His movies are very far from being artuer as they usually dwell primarily on superficial values and have little personal meaning.

I know it's cool to hate Tarantino nowadays. But Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are still amongst, if not my favourite films ever. I just love his style, cult, violent, cold. Just great.

Fans don't really get in the way of the movies to me.

To me, Pulp Fiction deserves all the hype it gets, because it's pure Tarantino; he wrote it, directed it, and even acted in it. It's definitely on the list for the ten best movies of the last 15 years, that's for sure.
