really depends on the drumset, 8x8 might be a bit too big, by band played on a float for my school and it was only probably 5 feet wide, 6 at the most

This'll be a basic 5 piece with a crash, hi-hat, and ride. I was thinking 8x8 might be too large, but better to be too big than too small. ;)

yeah, if ya got the room, then definatley use it. but since i have nothin better to do i just measured 8x8 on my floor with a tape measure and its really big, a small drumste is probably on like 4x5 or 5x5 or something along those lines.

my lexicon is great, it has about 150 effects that i can adjust any way i want with the touch of a button, about 50 diffrent head and cab emulator.

ok the lexicon in detail

basicaly there are 7 catagories of effects.
Gain_Chorus_Reverb_Delay_Eq_Effect1_Effect2

In each of these catagories there are ~12 diffrent effects. You can choose one or none from each catagory. so it would be like this
