They do play parts of TLITD. If I could pick the setlist I'd have that, escape, and The Unforgiven I and II on there.

And yes, I hope there's a bootleg somewhere

Sometimes i wish they play these songs more:

My Friend of Misery
The Unforgiven (both parts)
Thorn Within
To Live is to Die
Orion
Mercyful Fate, Astronomy, Sabbra Cadabra
Trapped Under Ice
Escape
The Unnamed Feeling(the only song in SA that they didn't play live, and my fav. on that cd)
They've played TUF live before. They don't play TLITD because it's a tribute to Burton, although they played it live on the Justice tour a lot. Orion they don't play live because it was "Cliff's song", although I'm interested to hear if they did the full version with Rob or not since they did a bunch of overdubs during the bass solo.

PepsiMetal 11-20-2005 12:48 AM

He said he wished they would play those songs more, not that they never played those songs. :thumb:

I thought load had its ups and downs.first few tracks were good: ain't my bitch, 2x4, the house that jack built, until it sleeps and king nothing.and the outlaw torn was pretty good as well. Reload i don't listen to that much, but i love The Unforgiven II and Where The Wild Things are.But i suppose thats just my opinion and a lot of people will probably disagree.

PepsiMetal 11-20-2005 02:31 AM

I got this full 11-15 san francisco concert now. Man quality is unbelievable. I converted all flac files into mp3s. I can upload some songs if anyone wants, just say which ones, this was the set list:

Orion
Creeping Death
Wherever I May Roam
For Whom The Bell Tolls
The Unforgiven (AMAZING first time I hear it live. AMAZING)
Fuel
Sad But True
Nothing Else Matters
Master Of Puppets
One
Enter Sandman

:thumb:
Now Im actually going to sleep but I can upload em tomorrow.

nothingelsematters 11-20-2005 03:57 AM

I'm quite glad they don't do the Mercyful Fate medley live. I don't think James has the right voice at all to pull it off.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-20-2005 05:20 AM

The only good thing about that medley is that some die-hard Metallica fan made a powertab out of it, so I can finally learn some Mercyful Fate riffs!

Yeah, it is kinda sucky.

DaveTheAmazing 2.0 11-20-2005 01:08 PM

Life, it seems, will fade away,

fatbandit 11-20-2005 01:19 PM

Its not that its necessarily sucky... But its nothing special. No different to any other live concert... Maybe I'm asking too much :p

Like S&M is special, and pretty much flawlessly played. Not entirely, but... Nothing you'd notice. The vocals are spot on.

I'm yet to buy the S&M DVD. It's one of those things I keep putting off.
