Ehh, most of the time Danny's screaming just sounds like screeching car tires to me. I think the band gets an unwarranted amount of hate, though, while plenty of thirteen-in-a-dozen bands get a lot of praise. A lot of it just has to do with a band's image and status and shit, which is actually kind of retarded, because that's like beholding an amazing painting and admiring its frame instead of the painting itself.

It's some sort of atmospheric (black) metal/doom metal project with lots of symhponic/piano/folky guitar parts. Production is great and there are some brilliantly composed parts in there. The first track is ironically probably not the best place to start with this band.

My friend showed me this about a month ago and I was fucking surprised this is going down in Oshkosh of all places. I was pumped when Ash Borer and Fell Voices were on the line-up, but now I see The Body is on there and I'm like, "ohhhfuckkk." Unfortunately its a 21+ show at the moment, but for me personally I hope that changes.

This song is fucking bomb, some of the riffs are in an Alcest song, but it's pretty much just black metal with some atmospheric parts. The back and forth of Neige and Herbst on vocals makes it so much better.
