That's a shame, live organ music is incredible :(

My dad took me, and he enjoyed it aswell despite the fact that he is not really a fan of classical music. He said he will take me to the next one, which is in January so that's something I have to look forward to.

my dad enjoys classical music so it's cool.

Man, last night we had some crazy weather. First it was windy like fuc for a few hours, then there was thunder and lightning, then rain poured down literally by the fricken gallon, and then it hailed. Now today it's clear outside.

So how funny, I can sleep 12 hours 9-9 and miss less than 2 pages. But I can sleep 12 hours from 12-12 and miss like 6 pages. Crazy how activity here is so time dependent.

I have a program on my computer called Desktop Weather (derrhrrhrr). It tells me the temperature outside, the humidity, etc., and it also gives me a Doppler radar reading. It's really handy in the mornings since I have early classes to find out how warm/cool it is outside, and weather (lolz pun) or not I should throw on a hoodie.

I guess it's an equivalent to WeatherBug? I dunno, I've never used that program...

The one thing I don't like about DW is that whenever there's a storm (say, last night for forever), when it first approaches, the computer makes a booming thunder noise. Now, I usually have my speakers on for music or gaming, so this scares the hell out of me (because it's getting to the time of year when rain and thunder are making way for snow).

But yeah, it's a very nifty program. I enjoy it.

this sounds cool.

my parents have some weather station thingys around the house (old ones)

one of them is really handy.
the mercury rises or descends depending on the airpressure.
and along the side there are marks with
rainy weather, storm, sunny, very warm.
it's very easy to know what the waether will be like :)

at my old job a girl collapsed, she had some sort of epeleptic(sp?) seizure.
it was scary like hell, and lots of people just staring at this girl, without doing a thing.

grr, that stuff really makes me mad
You're not supposed to do anything to/for someone having an epileptic seizure. Just let them ride it out.
Page 12 done! Almost through... soon I gotta figure out how I'm gonna organize everything. Should be very tedious, hooray!

Anyway, Natural Born Killers is a very weird movie. But I like how they used "Take the Power Back" and "Bombtrack" at very appropriate moments in the movie. Rage against the machine, indeed.
I like that film.

And make sure Mikael akerfeldt (?) doesn't win, that would be highly unoriginal.

the2stranger 11-06-2005 12:20 PM
You're not supposed to do anything to/for someone having an epileptic seizure. Just let them ride it out.
yes I know that :)
but anyways

I used to work in a supermarket, and a collegue girl was the one who had those seizures.

but it was very annoying to see the girl laying on the floor helpless, and 20 people standing around her with shoppingcarts saying: OMG this is so bad, someone do something.
and they just stand there.

but indeed you can't do anything about the seizure, just let them lay down till it ends, although you have to watch their position, to make sure they don't suffocate by swallowing their own tongue.

it's just leave the girl some dignity while she's having the seizure, I can't imagine how bad it is, just to have that seizure, et alone that god knows how many people are staring at you :(

superpeer 11-06-2005 12:33 PM

That's just the group effect.

Once there was this girl being raped as she was about to enter her flat building, and over 30 people saw it happen, they were all staring out of their windows, but it was only after half an hour that someone thought of calling the police.

People are more helpful when they are alone, if you're in a group, you're more withheld and you wait to see what the others do.

Yeah, she was stabbed once, twice, thrice. The first time, a tenant yelled to leave her alone, not having any idea that the assilant had a knife. The attacker walked away. Came back a second time, robbed her, stabbed her. He walked away again. He finished her off the third time. It was a brutal case.

The rape scenario is a similar case in psychology, and I guess anthropology, but the term "group effect" is still universal.

Because she was stabbed and where her attacker stabbed her basically put her in shock. The only thing she could do was scream, but because it was dark, no one knew what was happening. She also had lost a lot of blood in her wounds. She couldn't run because she was in so much pain.
