Darkstep, really really grimy heavy DnB, SPL is mindblowing.

giving VanGaalen - Infiniheart a first listen. I've been getting mileage out of Skelliconnection and Soft Airplane.

Well, Friend Opportunity is their kid-tested, Pitchfork approved album, but Apple 'O is my personal fav.

Actually, get the Green Cosmos EP. It's short and sweet, but just about perfect.

I'm liking the Depreciation Guild, in spite of their godawful name.

niobium 02-07-2009 12:38 PM

laika - sounds of the satellites
grant green - idle moments

I heard the Wipers for the first time this week. The first track on the album is really good but the rest kind of let it down, it's like a 3/5 overall.

edit: album is Youth of America obv

depends on what the "first track" is cause apparently there are different track orders. the first song should be No Fair, cause it just SOUNDS first

Iai 02-07-2009 06:41 PM

It's the one that sounds like Slint and Sonic Youth learnt how to play guitar by listening to it

NOOTH 02-07-2009 06:45 PM

dont know if thers anything like that but there are plenty of ones that sound like doodoo

Liebensaft 02-07-2009 09:42 PM

I downloaded this album some guy made where he took Radiohead and Jay-Z songs and mashed them up and overlayed them and stuff and they sound awesome.

Skream! - Skream!
Benga - Diary Of An Afro Warrior
Vex'd - Degenerate

Been on a dubstep dose for a few hours. I've heard the first two albums many times but the first time I'd listened to any stuff from Vex'd. I'm 4 songs in and it's pretty damn good.

Iai 02-08-2009 04:36 PM

That Vex'd album is the shiz. Better than the other two you mentioned.
