It's good fun, fo real.

I don't have school tomorrow, but on Tuesday I have an essay "test" that must prove that the Founding Fathers were democratic reformers determined to support the needs of a nation and its people. So, I'm getting started.

Thonk 10-08-2006 09:36 PM

Post the link, Justin.

I don't think I was around then, but whatever.

PietroCrespi 10-08-2006 09:36 PM

Wtf... I just found a Gallien Krueger 400RB on Ebay for $1 and $72 shipping.... surely it can't be working like it says (A++). They are $750 on MF.

Do you have a link for the other one that Gav mentions on the last page?

Lowsound, are you still interested in that Peavey 6er on TB?

Thonk 10-08-2006 09:41 PM

I was already 3 pages in.

I don't have the money for it, but if he would have taken my trade offer I would have been all over it. The musician is worth more as well.

I hadn't realized he messed up his wrist.

It's sort of crazy to me that we watched him go from being an angsty, "Who's Better: Flea or Freeman?" asking, emo, running away from home teen to a mature, collegiate, "never going to play bass again"...guy.

Wow. I've wasted away so many hours on this damn forum.

PaulSimonon 10-08-2006 09:44 PM

He DIDN'T take that offer?

Same here, looking back on old threads really shows how much posters have changed and how many have left.

It's probably bad that I honestly feel something for all those/these people, and I haven't even been around much lately.

The internet's pretty amazing.

PietroCrespi 10-08-2006 09:47 PM

Well that was a pretty anticlimatic ending, but still funny.
He DIDN'T take that offer?
Nope, he said that he didn't like the neck profile. He likes jazz necks and the musician is just about the same as a stingray. I can play any neck that you throw at me.

Left Shoe 10-08-2006 09:49 PM

i like how i didnt even post in that thread

PaulSimonon 10-08-2006 09:50 PM

*shrugs* I offered him a P bass, so that's probably not gonna happen then...

I could do some neck work and shave it down and refinish it but meh... I don't want it that much. It's badly overpriced to begin with...

PietroCrespi 10-08-2006 09:50 PM

Wow... the stuff you find on ebay.

That sucks. As far as I'm concerned, on a 4 string, a neck is a neck is a neck. Profile doesn't really matter that much until you start branching out into 5+ strings.

Just my opinion. I'm with you, though, on playing any kind of neck, really. On a 4, that is. After that, I need something thin.

I really like coming here, not that I do as much as I used to. It is interesting how people can be connected through the internet like that.

Mos def, to both points. I'm so much busier now.

It was easier when all I did was come home and play MMORPGs and come on MX for 6+ hours a day (more on weekends).

Damnit, one is enough.

I think my goal now is to finally upgrade my amp, and then get a high quality 4 string and then have my Ibanez professionally defretted. Then I've got all of my needs satisfied.

Foxfire 10-08-2006 09:55 PM

Anyways, I'm going to go lay in bed and do my AP US History homework (sorta...).

I'll talk to you guys later, I hope.

Send my dear baby Gavin my regards.

I have no idea. I've never asked around. But whatever it costs, it's worth it to me, because the last bass I defretted ended up sucking after I did it, because I did such a botch job.
What the eff is a musician?
Ibanez musician, the top of the line bass from Ibanez in the late 70's to the mid 80's. I can post pictures.

It's an older Ibanez model, vaguely Alembic inspired.

Is it actually...good?

I'd have to play anything before I buy it, but I'm interested in a 4 stringer...

Hey lowsound, stop by western New York sometime and we can have a trade/jam out.

It is very good, top notch build quality, great electronics (maybe a little weak on the output side of things), great sound, cool look (no too 80's). Stingrayish neck.
