powerslave is good stuff

EvErLaSt 12-11-2004 05:12 AM

I like all maiden but i think i prefer thier newer stuff, BNW DoD i mean.
Although i love songs such as the clairvoyant and even older stuff like Iron Maiden!

If i was to vote for a greatest album, i think it would have to be BNW but others come very close!

GurS 12-11-2004 06:36 AM

i'd go either powerslave or bnw

ashman 12-11-2004 11:30 AM

Powerslave or BNW...

Thunder Fingers 12-11-2004 12:16 PM

ok, Powerslave it is then! :D

*What where we talkin about again? *

ashman 12-11-2004 02:50 PM

I was just in the Dimebag Darrell thread and someone mentioned Paul D'ianno getting hurt. Anyone know about this?

No, because that makes no sense.

Anyway, let's all stop bickering on the differences of the top two R&M songs, and let's see what "Stairway to Heaven" and "Hallowed..." have in common:

- Both by British bands
- Both recorded more than twenty years ago
- Both have awesome guitar solos
- Both are over seven minutes long
- Neither one was released as a single

And here's something weird: Both songs have their titles as the last line in the song. Wow!

Salem 12-11-2004 03:00 PM

I only recently started getting into metal this past year, and Iron Maiden quickly became my favourite band :thumb:

WHAT?!

That makes no sense: Hallowed Be Thy Name is on NOTB, released in 1982.

Boy, that Maiden Authority title is looking a bit tarnished right now...

Oh ok, I guess you showed me. But the STUDIO version wasn't released as a single when the album came out, and that's usually what I think of when I think "Radio single."

supreme maidenite 12-12-2004 09:37 AM

ashman 12-12-2004 09:42 AM

They are some good albums, have you heard any of the newer stuff?

GurS 12-12-2004 12:27 PM

hello all

ashman 12-12-2004 02:08 PM

Good evening good sir.

I juts realised that the Intro the "The Thin Line between love and hate" is dual vocals...

GurS 12-12-2004 04:13 PM

aye. a majority of the song is. tis a great song.

ashman 12-12-2004 04:23 PM

I only thought it was the chorus at first. It is indeed a great song, I love nearly everything about it :thumb:

thelittledrummerboy 12-12-2004 04:39 PM

It is a great song, i love the part at the end just after it slows down.

GurS 12-12-2004 04:42 PM

tis indeed good. 2nd best song on that album.

Thunder Fingers 12-12-2004 04:53 PM

*the thin liiiiiiiIIIIiiiiine between love and haaaaiaite*

I love that part! :D

Riva 12-12-2004 05:10 PM

As do I. Dickinson is the greatest. :D

Lord Abortion 12-13-2004 03:11 AM

*bump*
not so hot on the thin line personally good song but nothing special IMO
dream of mirrors, ghost of the navigator and title track top 3 on BNW for me...
intro to BNW = shivers down spine at the maiden gig
one of the best they played

Riva 12-13-2004 03:47 AM

I love the way Intro and Wicker Man blend in together on Rock In Rio. To me, that makes it all the more better than the studio version. :)

Lord Abortion 12-13-2004 03:52 AM

wicker man intro = amazing riff

Riva 12-13-2004 05:32 AM

You said it. One of the best.

Nice Megadeth Avatar as well. :thumb:

icebase 12-13-2004 06:41 AM
