cool thanks, I know that they are more Power/speed metal, but I trust that everyone in here know what they are talking about

JMetallica 08-18-2004 10:36 PM

Since you're a thrash nigg., you probably want to listen to Blind Guardian's older albums, such as Tales From teh Twilight Hall. Their older stuff is more speed/power compared to A Night at teh Opera, which is more of a power metal 'opera' thing.

JMetallica 08-19-2004 03:46 AM

^^

Agreed there.

And speaking of power metal, could someone be so nice as to Bump the Power Metal Thread up? Everytime i do a search, i get one or another database error (which probably effects everyone).

Still on a Sabbat binge. :D

abit of pointless slayer news for you :)

SLAYER's Next Studio Album To Land On INTERSCOPE?

Rick Rubin's American Recordings label — home to veteran Los Angeles thrashers SLAYER — is making the move from Island Def Jam to the Interscope side, according to Hits Daily Double.

SLAYER had previously announced that they were putting the recording sessions for their new album on hold while Rubin began negotiating a new deal with Universal Music Group (Island Def Jam's parent company). Rubin has worked with SLAYER since he produced the band's 1986 thrash classic "Reign in Blood", and his status could greatly affect the level of support American gives any new album.

"The minute (Rubin) gets that situated we'll continue the process of finishing the music," SLAYER frontman Tom Araya told The News Tribune last month.

SLAYER's upcoming DVD, "Reign in Blood Live: Still Reigning", is scheduled for release on September 28. The disc will feature a full performance of the "Reign in Blood" album by all original members of the veteran thrash metal outfit. The DVD, recorded on July 11 in Augusta, Maine, will have an approximate 75-minute running time and will retail for $14.98.

GraveRobbersINC 08-19-2004 02:10 PM

From what I've seen/heard, it's a good day if he can.

DisposableHeroes 08-19-2004 02:33 PM

i hope he does when i see them, cause i was disappointed by the low growl he produced in the warfield DVD

Girl-Playing-Bass 08-19-2004 02:35 PM
From what I've seen/heard, it's a good day if he can.
Yah sometimes he does it, and sometimes he doesn't.

Corporal Compendia 08-19-2004 06:03 PM

That was a great freakin' show. Slayer had awful sound and not too great a setlist... but they were still good I guess.

Priest blew them away though.

FatalEnergy 08-19-2004 06:36 PM

when saw Slayer this summer they kicked ***, but they had a lame set list

RavenousMetalist87 08-20-2004 09:13 PM

Well, I finally got the ban lifted off me...

So what have my fellow thrashers been?

RCA 08-20-2004 09:51 PM

Not much, I'm just anticipating the new Kreator album. I checked out the clips on andysneap.com, and they were ace. Enemy of God has some killer riffs :thumb:

NP: Death Angel - Devil's Metal

RavenousMetalist87 08-20-2004 09:54 PM

When does the new Kreator album come out?

I was at Tower the other day and saw Live Kreation (DVD) and Coma of Souls, but the packaging wasn't too great. They were a bit torn and dinged.

FatalEnergy 08-20-2004 11:54 PM

Mille said the new Kreator comes out in January

DisposableHeroes 08-21-2004 03:08 AM

i'm looking forward to the new Dark Angel album, just hope Ron can still hit the hit the high notes

JMetallica 08-21-2004 07:27 AM

Gotta hate that, they play half the British steel album and play a single song from Stained Class :(. That's my only gripe with Priest, they never play stuff from it.
