Opeth:
Still Life
Deliverance
Damnation

I'm starting to get into Meshuggah, and have no idea what to get next. I already have I [EP], though.

For Meshuggah I'd recommend "Chaosphere" or "Destroy, Erase, Improve".

Get Nothing, or Catch 33, if you enjoy I. Then go back farther to Chaosphere and Destroy, Erase, Improve.

These are the ones I was leaning further towards. Which would you recommmend out of those two?

If you like strange timing, heavy pounding and don't like progressive, get Chaosphere. If you like strange timing, heavy pounding and like progressive, get DEI.

Chaosphere has NO clean guitars whatsoever, that might give you a clue as to what the content is like.

I'd personally say "Destroy, Erase, Improve", but I'm by no means an expert on Meshuggah.

Do you want a song or two off each?

If so, tell me if you have iTunes.

If there is one, someone recommend me what is considered the greatest power metal album ever. I've been meaning to get into some, but I need a good place to start.

Get into some Blind Guardian. But unfortunatly, i can't recomand you any album because i don't own any :upset:.

But here are some songs though:

Imaginations from the other side
And then there was silence
Valhalla
Precious Juruesalm
Lost in a twilight hall

I only know about 25 Blind Guardian songs so my list here might not be the best out there.

I hope it helps...

I'm not one of the more prominent PM listeners around but you could start with: Helloween - Keeper of the seven keys part 1 and 2 ( most say these are the first Powermetal albums ever) ,Galloglass - Legends from now and nevermore, Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle earth or Somewhere far beyond, Dragonforce - Sonic Firestorm, and last but not least Dungeon - Rise to power

dUSK 11-02-2005 05:24 PM

 What now!?

Maybe song Funk influenced stuff with a nice groove? Early RHCP, some Faith No More. I'm listening to Joss Stone - Fell In Love With A Boy right now, that could go alright. I really don't know. Hell why not even play come Cannibal Corpse.

How about some Orgy? Not a great band, but a pretty good conversation starter.. especially if your partners are unaware of your plans at first. :p

Where in the fuck do you come from?

Seriously...I highly doubt very many people have been in this situation, so I have no idea how you came up with that assumption.

I was kidding man well im really havint he orgy i think lol.....but i was kidding about the part that everyone has been in that situation.....chill out dude! :)

randomthought9 11-02-2005 06:43 PM

lol orgy music. well, im not as lucky as that guy, but do any of you guys know of some good acoustic music? I like Pink Floyd's acoustic stuff, like Wish You Were Here, and especially Goodbye Blue Sky. I'm looking to broaden my musical taste a little past distorted guitars all the time.

GenuineImitation 11-02-2005 06:44 PM

Were you kidding that alot of people were in this situation, or the need for songs for an orgy.

Txus 11-02-2005 06:47 PM

I don't care if you were kidding or not, since sarcasm does not float through the internet very well.

And to ask an internet forum about what music you should play during a sexual activity is pretty lame if you ask me. Find out for your self and keep it to your self, because frankly we don't care.
That a lot of people have been in that situation.
Oh, I see. I think you'll be fine as long as their is some good rythm to the muisc. As I have never been in that situation, I honwestly have no idea. I'll try to find something though.
