Jesus Christ, this is already on 106 pages?
Sup MX, did I miss anything while I was too lazy to log on for days? NP: Necrophobic- Act of Rebellion |
Ya, Yamato rules for that reason. But it's annoying as every ones like "OMG HE IS RELATED TO THE 2ND OMG!"
Sai, personality wise doesn't match up with Sasuke at all imo, just looks. And every one keeps thinking he is a homosexual with all his penis comments and clothing heh. And ya, that whole cliche is getting old now, it worked with Gaara and all, but after that it's like we don't need any more of this k thx. Overall it's going quite good, as it's growing a nice big plot right now with all these chapters that introduced Sai and Yamato and the ANBU root thing... NP - Otyg - I Trollberg Och Skog
Haha, well I don't really know what to think about Yamato's past quite yet... especially since we don't even know his real name yet:\ Sai is a replacement in the sense of the three man team deal, him replacing Sasuke as Naruto's rival and also being condesending to him all the time. With Zabuza, Haku, Kiba, Neji, Hinata, Gaara, and Tsunade, yah... it is definitley getting old. And yah, I agree that the plot is developing quite nicely, although they better re-introduce Sasuke quick, he hasn't been around for about half a year now in terms of the Manga. I'm also hoping for more character development in Naruto, his personality doesn't seemed to have changed much since the time-skip... |

I don't really care about Sasuke, I am more so awaiting to see Yamato own heh. And Naruto in a bigger fight should have better learned more stuff, or I am going to go crazy seeing the same things over and over. There is alot of things that could happen though, so time to sit back and watch it unfold. And people think Yamato is related to the 2nd is because of the same techniques he uses and the same head protector thing... |
God, I HATE Naruto...
God, I HATE Naruto...
That's because you are a noob and haven't seen or read enough of it to actually judge it. |
I have though, and it absolutely sucked IMO.
|
A friend lent me a Naruto DVD once. I never watched it. Just because I didn't have the time though.
I have though, and it absolutely sucked IMO.
What episodes and manga numbers k thx. If you saw the earlier episodes, they weren't that great so ya... |
As I told you, I will not sit through a ton of garbage to get to something good, in my eyes that series was soiled with the bull**** it began as.
|

The first ten or so episodes are a horrible representation of what the rest of the 150 + episodes are like... So unless you have seen the full thing, don't say a thing k thx nub. |
Omg, stop arguing over manga!
|
Yeah so... I know you don't care but...
My soccer team, The Drink Team III just pzwned a bunch of tight-ass kids today, 5 - 2!!!! hOORAY! ... On a more serious note, I'm planning to buy Opeth's latest CD, but that will be until past christmas and the secret santa stuff and that... yeah. |
Man, I'm really feeling jazzed today!
I'm feeling very enthusiastic because tomorrow is when I finish up my video editing class, and I've really enjoyed the experience. It's showed me that I can do this. Over Christmas, I'm finally getting my own editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro to be specific. Then, I have a scriptwriting class next semester which I'll use to help me produce and critique a feature length script that will be shot in either the summer of 2006 or the spring of 2007. I've already begun drawing up an outline, setting up a list of things I'll already have that I can work with, rough sketches of what the budget will look like, props and set lists, and I've been working with my guitar teacher to compose some music for it. It's an idea I've wanted to write for a long time, but also borrows from some of my influences (George Romero, Sam Raimi, John Carpenter). In short, five people going to a cabin for the weekend find themselves trapped inside by a pack of werewolves, all very hungry, with only a few wards and charms sanctifying the house against the creatures. As time drags on, and the lycanthropes begin trying successively more creative methods of getting inside, a power struggle between the five humans results in some close-scrapes and a couple of violent deaths. Trust me, the vision I have is much better than it sounds. |
If you can pull that off, I would give you a hell of a lot of respect. Well, more than I do now :).

Actually, I'm pretty sure I can pull this off. Aside from make-up, I'm going for a very minimalist approach. I'll mostly be using amateurs and non-actors (including my younger brother who will be playing the comic relief) with some degree of natural ability. My actors will double as my crew, as well. Whenever they're not in a scene, they're doing everything else.
Equipment will be kept minimal as well, and what few extravagant props I'll need (such as the spellbook) I can actually make myself for dirt cheap. Since I'm doing lots of shots outdoors or on campus-owned property, I won't have to pay location fees. Outdoor shots also cut down on lighting. I can actually pull this off on a relatively low budget in a couple of weeks tops if I play my cards right. |

I'm all for independant film making, that's why I enjoy watching Troma films so much. Low Budget + Gore = Sure fire winner. It won't be a while until I can get my 'project' out of the water. I know the basics of Video Editing as I did it for a while. I should be taking an advanced course in the near future, depending on my finances. Anyhow, good luck with that. I don't really have an "Ash" character per say. Nick (my brother) plays Jeff who is a loud, off-kilter smart-***. Depending on how the script shapes up, he may or may not die. I've already worked out a way to get some very realistic fake blood for cheap (corn syrup, red food coloring, and cocoa powder to give it a realistic look when it "clots). And you should see the plan I'm going by for the spellbook. It's going to look like something I stole from a mausoleum. I plan on making a little extra cash by selling "copies" with blank pages that people can use for journals or sketchbooks on my web site once I get the movie onto DVD. Like I said, guys, I'm really psyched about this! Even though this semester has been a massive pain in my ass, it's shown me that I really can do all this if I just my nose to the grindstone. |

Haha, I hope it didn't come across as if I was saying that you were stealing the Ash character. He wasn't much of a 'Smart-*** hero' in Evil Dead as he was in Army of Darkness.
I've already worked out a way to get some very realistic fake blood for cheap (corn syrup, red food coloring, and cocoa powder to give it a realistic look when it "clots).
I figured you'd know about this already. I was actually going to suggest it. I know it was used for the head crushing scene in The Toxic Avenger, aswell as probably on a few more low budget horrors. |
So another mxer just introduced me to these guys, and I think those of you who enjoy the more abstract metal, and more operatic styles, would enjoy it, so here ya are :)

Man, I'm fucking bummed out. One of my favorite musicians no longer has the love of music.
hey, just wanted to let you all know that I am very sorry to say that I will not be continuing with my musical career. It is hard to explain but the last few years have been very draining on the soul. Way too many failures to count and I would like to stop the count here. I can not emphasize that more than I have. THANKYOU for your support thus far but I can't continue with something that is not fullfilling me. famous words are allways great, as 'I shall quit while I am ahead.' Cheers
His solo projects were so AWESOME though. Ahhhhhhhh, godfreakindammit :upset: |

http://www.purevolume.com/unexpect
I heard about them awhile ago, they are quite awesome. Do you like them at all? I personally love their style, they are all over the place so it sounds like well placed chaotic music heh. All of you people should check them out! NOW! |
Yes, strange band indeed. I have their _We, Invaders EP and I must say it's quite all over the place.
When I first heard Novaë it brought back memories of when I used to spend hours playing Splatterhouse 2 on the Megadrive/Genesis. The all piano piece is quirky aswell. |
Haha, I hope it didn't come across as if I was saying that you were stealing the Ash character. He wasn't much of a 'Smart-*** hero' in Evil Dead as he was in Army of Darkness.
You listened to the audio commentary on Evil Dead, too, didn't you? Bruce Campbell pointed out that everyone remembers Ash as a bad-ass when he really wasn't until Army of Darkness.
I figured you'd know about this already. I was actually going to suggest it. Make-up for the werewolves is going to be a pain to apply, so I plan to only bring them into full view on a handful of really intense shots. Otherwise, they'll be in sillhouette, or dash by the camera so fast that the make-up can be minimal and still look great. It's the old "less is more" cliche of writing. The less the audience sees of the werewolves themselves, the scarier they become.
Man, I'm fucking bummed out. Ahhh, guilty as charged. Even so, he was quite the hero in Evil Dead 2 and that's where the classic 'Groovy' quote originated.
It's the old "less is more" cliche of writing.
