Yeah, I just got The song of susannah without actually realising there's another one to go between Wizard and glass and that one, so I have to go and get the missing one before I read that.
|
I'm still waiting for a song based on my favourite fantasy series. I think I may have to write one of my own. :)
|
Whats your favorite fantasy series than?
|
Whats your favorite fantasy series than?
My favourite would be The Belgariad/Mallorean by David Eddings. Then comes either the books by Fiest concerning Midkemia, or the Elenium/Tamuli series by Eddings. Then I'd rate the Dragon books by Anne McCaffrey, Tolkien's books, and perhaps the Keltannach by Patricia Kennealy. I'd also rate Ed Greenwood's Elminster: The Making of a Mage, King's Dark Tower, and R.A. Salvatore's books highly. |
Get Ressurrection. It's awesome, and shows a lot of Dungeon's Maiden influence. Plus I reviewed it the other week. :D
It's just been remastered aswell! |
Indeed! The Legend Of Huma from the Resurrection album was based on the novel by Richard A Knaak and Netherlife (Black Roses Die) from A Rise To Power was based on Lord Soth from the first 6 books (which has a lot of background info from the Ravenloft novel Knight Of The Black Rose).
I'm a BIG fan of Weis and Hickman especially! :)
I love the Dragonlance chronicles, they are what got me into reading :D
My favourite would be The Belgariad/Mallorean by David Eddings. That's the version I have/reviewed. I love it. |

And wasn't Blind Guardian planning on doing an album about the Drangonlance books? Bought Keeper of the Seven Keys part 2 for 10 euro the other day. They also had the first one for the same but I'm a poor student so it will have to wait. |
Noone likes The Wheel of Time or The Song of Ice and Fire or David Farlands Runelords?
|

Get part 1 when you have the money, it's much better than part 2 IMO. I'm Alive is a kick a*s song! |
Yeah, I mean, look at my avatar/UT combination!
|
Noone likes The Wheel of Time or The Song of Ice and Fire or David Farlands Runelords?
My sister has quite a few wheel of time books, but i have never got around to reading them, maybe i will one day |

I have part 1 on MP3 but I like part 2 better. Their are SOFAI fans on here but Martin better hurry up an finish his book pretty soon now. WoT has done in for me lately (say from book 7 or 8) you should try some Steven Erikson's Malazen Tale of the Fallen instead. |
It's just been remastered aswell!
Actually, entirely re-recorded from scratch in fact! ;) |
Anyone got Days of purgatory by Iced earth?
I want to hear Barlow studio versions of The older songs. although if it's not much different I won't bother... |
His versions of Gene Adams songs are way better. I prefer when Greely does NOTSR though. If your a Barlow fan, I'd say buy it.
|
Isnt John Shaffer(iced earth) a hyper right wing nutjob? Good singer though. I only own the 2-disc set of Glorious burden, what other albums should i buy? I would just like some input because i dont want to waste my money--I'm poor:(

Alive in athens, something wicked this way comes and Night of the stormrider are all brillliant. AIA is the best live album ever made, seriously. Also, I don't think Schaffer is "hyper right wing" NP-Blind guardian- time stands still(at the iron hill) |
thanks, I'll probably get AIA first, I like live albums.
|
AIA is the best live album ever made, seriously.
Songs of silence is better (IMO) and when Dragonforce make one it will own all other live abum. But AIA is very good |
Rock in rio and One crimson night own too.
|
I really like songs of silence, especially the fullmoon version.
How much did you pay for that? It was like £15 on amazon. |
'nother good live album= DEATH ON THE ROAD~Maiden
|
I really like songs of silence, especially the fullmoon version.

I'll lend you it.
'twill be winging it's way to me soon. You'll have to kill a Frenchman first, though. And I want the head as proof, none of your "the eyes look french, though" shenanigans. |
I have it, albeit burnt.

Alright if you must, but burn the body, we don't want another "must be the drains" incident. It was down in your cellar for ages |
Je deteste le Francais! Ils ont tres mouvais. Tu es brule en hell!
|
And wasn't Blind Guardian planning on doing an album about the Drangonlance books?
The song The Soulforged was about Raistlin from the Dragonlance novels.
Noone likes The Wheel of Time or The Song of Ice and Fire or David Farlands Runelords?
I like The Wheel of Time, though haven't read Book 10 yet. |
