Do they actually play MOP or is it just the music in the background?

I just saw the movie two days ago. I saw it in theaters, but didn't remember anything about, so renting is always a good thing to do...It's an ok movie...

They play about 2 minutes of the song I would say. They skip a few parts and it ends right before the solo begins. Great part of the movie though, just for that part :)

If you are interested in that this link might interest you. If pretty much says whenever Metallica was mentioned on tv/movies or whatnot.

Hey thanks man1 I had seen that before but never stopped to look at it.

I love this one

In a recently aired episode of the Simpson's, Otto the bus driver is waiting in line with people who are waiting to file their tax returns. A news reporter attempts to get Otto's opinion on tax day, but only manages to get "Taxes? Whoa! I thought I was in line for Metallica tickets!!" out of him!

I can't wait to see them on the simpsons again!

Sadbutrue16 11-18-2005 02:44 PM

'Metallica rules, Hetfield is god, you shall bow down.'"

They were in the south park episode "Faith +1". Lars was suing napster and he supported the south park kids. Stan was like we should be stoked that so many ppl are listening to our music right unless you guys are in the money. Lars "... uh... we're in it for the money."

I really like that episode. The end of Cartman's performance was classic. Taking gods name in vain infront of a audience full of hardcore catholics.

Anyway, the only 2 metallica cds I don't have is load and re-load. Which one should I get. I mainly listen to pre-black album (inluding the black album) and a few songs from Saint Anger. Which one is the heavier cd?

Of Load and Re-Load, Load sounds Heavier, "2x4" and "Ain't my Bitch" have some kind of weird heaviness.

Of all the albums, ...AJFA and St. Anger are pretty heavy.

I just watched cunning stunts, and the Enter Sandman thing is funny as hell.

Britton 11-19-2005 12:09 AM

I need to get cunning stunts. I hear about it all the time and I've still never seen it

PepsiMetal 11-19-2005 12:40 AM

I just listened to couple st anger tracks in my car (dirty window, sweet amber, frantic, my world, etc..) and those drums sound pretty damn good. When I listened to them at home they sounded annoying, but in a car, somehow it was alot better.

That is quite hard to say. They both have their strong points and weak points.

Load
-Until it Sleep
-Hero of the Day
-The House that Jack Built
-Bleeding Me
-The Outlaw Torn

Re-load
-Fuel
-Memory Remains
-Unforgiven II
-Carpe Diem Baby
-Prince Charming
-Fixxxer

The first one I bought of them both was Re-load, then again that was the second Metallica album I had ever bought, and I enjoyed it. It took me awhile to get into though. I would say get Re-load first, more commercially better catchy songs. Load is good also, but Reload in my opinion is better.

nothingelsematters 11-19-2005 03:07 AM

i would recommend re-load as well. Memory remains and unforgiven 2 are wikid!!!1

Doctor Night 11-19-2005 03:50 AM

Isn't Fuel supposed to be incredible?

Apocalyptic Raids 11-19-2005 05:49 AM

It's ok. One of the better Load-era songs.

BrownSugar 11-19-2005 05:53 AM

Hey I've been away fro here for quite a while, and I'm not one to read over 1000 pages. But has there been any word of a new album at all?

Nope, no news. Should be recording it soon.

timmySmi 11-19-2005 08:14 AM

I think Load And Reload are both great albums, Like any Album it has it's strong and weak points but this ain't any band it just so happens to be the biggest metal band on the planet! I think the jump to the more Hard Rock sound was more of a maturity Musically not selling out. I had a funny exprience last night me and a few friends were out on the drink we came Into a Bar which played just alternative music which is quite rare In England because most of the population In this country when they go out Clubbing like to listen to Cheesy pop music! You'd never catch a DJ playing Metal. But anyway I asked the DJ If there was any chance of getting some Metallica on so we could dance around and get some cocktails in. So he was like yeah cool the nexted song, So when the nexted Song came on I was like hey this ain't Metallica until Hetfields singing kicked In I realised it was Ain't My Bitch so out of all the Metallica songs he could of chose he picked that. So after the song I asked him why did he choose that song? and he said F@ck you! that songs rocking! I don't now why but I had the song In my had all night so when I got home I put it on and just listened to it and I was like yeah its actaully and damn good song.
