Husker Du - Zen Arcade

I've always loved this, but it's been a while since I listened. This album really clicked with me today like it never has before. I actually used to think New Day Rising was marginally better, but definitely not anymore. I've listened to this three times today in my car, and I honestly don't remember ever feeling so strongly about any album. There's something about this album that just works, it's so filled with passion and the way it's recorded is perfect. A true masterpiece.

YDload 10-22-2007 07:18 PM

you'll have to tell me how you rediscovered it because i currently think NDR is better (not a fan of all the hardcore filler in the middle)

Eliminator 10-22-2007 07:19 PM

stuff like i apologize and books about ufos make up for some of the crap

YDload 10-22-2007 07:21 PM

which songs?

I'm going to disagree, because I think I genuinely love EVERY song on Zen Arcade except the last one, which is cool but I'm not sitting through it every time. Masochism World I can take or leave...still a good track though.

You're ****ing right!

I know "Time to Die" as well, because that's a Void cover. Young Ginns are awesome, shame they didn't record more...although we might not have had Unwound if they did, so maybe it's not such a bad thing.

ATM 10-22-2007 08:48 PM

I still need to check out Unwound.
