The new Amon Amarth album sounds exactly like an Amon Amarth album but I'm really, really liking it. It might be better than With Oden On Our Side, which has always been my favourite. There's a bit of a difference with it, but I can't really tell what it is. The press release went on about the production, so maybe that's it.

the first song they released a few weeks about I don't care much for, similar to the last album which I just thought was flat and unmemorable overall. Hopefully the rest of the album is better.

with oden on our side and once sent from the golden halls are my favorite because they seem to match big choruses with a frantic drive the best.

I mean, I'm only halfway through my first listen, but I definitely like it a lot more than Twilight of the Thunder God. It has the same punch, if not more, than With Oden on our Side, and the guitar work is really strong, as are the hooks. I mean it's still Amon Amarth but there's definitely an edge to it that their last album really lacked.

What's the new Amon Amarth called?
