You're probably queued, as the person you're d/l'ing from has no more vacant d/l spots. :(

So, I had a fun night tonight, as I told Bartender on MSN.

Basically, I went to a Stoplight Party for University. You wear Green for available, Yellow for undecided, and Red for taken. So, as you can imagine, we have a big bar area, with about 90% of the blokes in green, and about 90% of the girls in red.

I don't have a job, although I will need to get one in the next 6 months or so.

story of my life...:upset

RCA 09-02-2005 08:11 AM

Stoplight Parties, that's something different. With all the talk of partying and such at my school, it's a wonder how I've never heard of it. Everyday I hear something to the effect of: "Dude! This party was so sweet, man! They did this one thing where... *rambles off into the sunset*"

>_>

<_<

Bartender 09-02-2005 08:19 AM

We had a traffic light party kind of like that last year at University too. Red was for married, yellow for available, and green for easy.

What colour did you wear?

munky_magik 09-02-2005 08:21 AM

New purchases:

N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton (£3.99)

And that's all there was, really. Apart from from a Four CD Theatres Des Vampires collection for £20.00 which I wasn't really to sure about.

I also got Bill Bailey's Part Troll and The Royal Tennenbaums.

'Twas a poor days shopping :upset:

Bartender 09-02-2005 08:24 AM

Yeah, it sounds less bountiful than many other trips. Not bad, though.
What colour did you wear?
I didn't go.

munky_magik 09-02-2005 08:43 AM
Good to see you both. How've you been?
I've been alright, I guess. Working most of the time :(
I've been buying CDs as well, but have no idea what they are anymore. I did get a Kitaro CD. I think I remember you mentioning him once. I also got Stop thinking eventually.

I also got a laptop for going to uni. I got into Manchester, by the way.

I also couldn't find Ross Noble DVDs :upset:
The only thing known to go faster than ordinary light is monarchy. According to the philosopher Ly Tin Wheedle. He reasoned like this: You an't have more than one king, and tradition demands that there is no gap between kings, so when a king dies the sucession must therefore *** to the heir Instantaneously. Presumably, he said, there must be some sort of elementary particles - Kingons, or possibly queons - that do this job, but of course sucession sometimes fails if, in mid-flight, they strike an anti-particle, or republicon. His ambitious plans to use his discovery to send messages, involving the careful torturing of a small king in order to modulate the signal, were never fully expounded because, at that point, the bar closed.
This man is a genius :)

Arrakakaka 09-02-2005 09:42 AM

The bottoms of my Adios are completely worn out, the shoe is falling apart, and I need a new size. So I may get some shoes later.

Endless Obsession 09-02-2005 10:10 AM
I write music a little different than most. I usually write some very detailed lyrics. Next I sit down behind my kit and try to put the emotions that the song is dealing with in music. It is complicated to explain. You would be amazed tho once you start thinking and creating in this mindset how much great material you create.
The only problem with this is that in most bands the guitar riffs come first, and then the drums are made to the guitar. And then the lyrics are put to the whole song. You just do it in reverse.

Good afternoon all. I am finished with class registration and am enjoying a well-earned day off. I've got a single in a house this year and I'm cooking a lot of my own meals, which rocks.

R+M seems to be sagging a bit topic-wise, I may make a few more Celtic Crossing threads in a while. (o noes series thread!!!!)

I've noticed that no matter how bad a meal may taste to other people, if its cooked by you then you like it (unless there are tons of salt thrown in there) :p

Looking forward to that series. You havent posted anything for a while and I thought you would stop them (even though you havent started them yet!)

I had that one thread on Michael Hedges, but then everybody started complaining about how many series threads there were and I didn't want to deal with "you're just hopping on the bandwagon" bullsh*t.

Arrakakaka 09-02-2005 11:08 AM

I will never give up my search for Epicus Doomicus Metallicus. Anybody have it?

Hah...I saw the special 2 CD edition of that today whilst in town for £10.00. I was going to ask someone if it was any good.

I hopped on the band wagon

Meh, I'm glad people are doing series threads, at least there's effort being put in and the resources are all out there to find music that much easier. Plus I enjoy writing mine regardless of whether or not people like them...though mine have thus far had a good response. I'm a little more worried this time because the band is not as well known.

If you like Black Sabbath, they're for you.

I'm going to get it from Overstock.com. They only have 5 copies left!

Cain 09-02-2005 11:18 AM

This post would just ruin the mood. Sorry for bringing another forum's business into here.

My thoughts exactly. However, I'm afraid most people dont take the time to read long texts and they dont care too much about new bands since they're bombed with tons of reccommendations and information every day.

By the way, do you know if other forums have this series thing?

Permanent Solution 09-02-2005 11:21 AM

It's all about elitsim. As soon as something formerly elite becomes the norm the ex-elite users hate it. I really don't care, I'd rather have a great forum and lots of contribution and recognition than mediocrity.

EDIT:This was to Cain

Stoic: I haven't seen them anywhere else I frequent, no. I read a lot of them, there's so much I can't read it all, but it's interesting so I read as much as I can.

Shattered_Future 09-02-2005 11:26 AM

I love doing series threads for some reason...which is weird, because I hate writing.

Meh, I guess when music is put into writing, it makes it much better. :D

I was gonna have band practice today...don't know what happened.

Then I was supposed to go to a movie, but my friend wanted to go to a different theater that we had no way to get to, or else he wouldn't go. Prick.
