they were opening for dredg and probably half the audience came to see animals as leaders judging by who left after them

their audience was almost entirely legit hipsters with deep v necks, cutoff jeans and the whole deal so I was all wtf is this going to be, I'd never heard of them

then they play the worst imaginable music of pure wankery nonsense for half an hour which I was laughing at for a good portion of the time. my first thought was how brent can't possibly like garbage like this and he's like their biggest fan.

the way he blends shred, groove, and overall melody is unmatched.

tosin is incredible at guitar but his music is awful and bland

Reading the responses to Animals As Leaders from others, I can say I felt that way on first listen, however the guitarist and drummer in Paraphila loved it, and I was subjected to them a bunch of times, and realized it's quite enjoyable.

Leprosy is my favourite but Human and Individual Thought Patterns duke it out for number 2 and, sometimes, end up at the top for a week or so.
