Meh, this cool chick at school has an Andy Warhol shirt... I think praising random people like that is kinda dumb. The corporate aspect of it at least...
Andy Warhol was not a random person, Andy Warhol was an artist.

Tyler 01-05-2008 07:49 PM

Andy Warhol was some loser who couldn't properly change the toner on his printer and made a living off of that fact.

MBS 01-05-2008 07:58 PM

in our video yearbook last year, they had a section on artists and art in general, and some kid (who is a pretty good artist, so he had a right to say this) was like "art is ripping off andy warhol". it's totally true because so many kids from my school that photoshop pictures to look like andy warhol's work and claim to be artists even though they're just ripping off his various monroe paintings

i am the robots 01-05-2008 09:22 PM

Riva, could you recommend me a really good fantasy book that's not by Brooks or Eddings?

TojesDolan 01-05-2008 09:36 PM
Anyone like Extreme?

Yeah, I like most of their non-cheesy material.

Riva 01-05-2008 09:48 PM

Magician by Raymond E. Feist (starts off a very large, but also rather good series)

The Earth Is The Lord's by William James (it's got a bit of sci-fi also, though)

Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey (again, sci-fi and fantasy mixed)

Elminster: Making of a Mage by Ed Greenwood (a Forgotten Realms novel)
