I've never really been able to sing, but I've always wanted to.
Today I was home alone. I know Imagine on the piano, so I was playing through that, and of course I usually 'sing' to it, though my singing isn't great. I worked on my voice a little, and then all of a sudden I realized I could hit notes with resorting to copying the pitch of another instrument (in this case a piano). However, my voice was all falsetto and weak and sounded bad, but I was relatively in tune. I began singing one of the songs I wrote, and again it was falsettoy and thin. I decided to sing straight from my gut, with lots of force. Holy **** I surprised myself. I belted out the high chorus, and when I reached for the correct notes on the piano, I was perfectly in tune! Holy ****, I'm on my way to singing! So anyway, the CR relation is I'm going to multi-track Imagine and record my own version. I play piano and drums so that won't be an issue. I don't play bass but its really easy so I could just TAB it out and learn it pretty quickly. Vocals....eh, I could probably get them down decently, but they'll be rough. |
Yeah I'm not the greatest singer when I'm singing on my own, but I can match pitch almost perfectly with any instrument/singer if I practice a couple times.
Man, I went to this music/improv thing at a local club because my friend and his group were doing some improv...the most amazing girl was in his improv group and I think I'm in love. I parked in the parking lot and got out of my car, right when she pulled into the spot next to me and I swear this was love at first sight. So after the whole thing was over I went over and talked to her and it didn't go well, she tried to be nice but I could tell she wasn't interested. The real problem was that my friend and the rest of his improv gang came up and I just couldn't keep up with all their witty jokes and crap. This girl was defintely amazing though, her name was Judy. That's basically all I know about her now except that she's funny. And sexy as hell. |

I believe Illmatic and I cautioned against you doing those awhile ago. I said you were one small step from living in a paper bag, or something. :p |

I really love to play hackey sack, its so much fun, and such a nice way to meet people, but all of the people that play it at my school are like "eew girl" which isn't helped by the fact that I'm not so good at it
Yeah....I have yet to meet a girl who likes playing hackey sack. It's kind of a cult thing at my school. A certain group of kids with tye dye shirts and rasta hats always come out at lunch to do it. We get weird looks sometimes. |

I wonder how junior hallway is going to take it Tough luck, thickasabrick, but hey, definatly keep trying  |

well played, sir. its ok, i have trouble talking to girls that i havent been friends with for a while. but i have a girlfriend. now i feel bad. :upset: really though, just try to be more casual around her. |
I'm bored. Thinking of Judy. It's not often I find a girl I'm interested in, I've had two girlfriends since I started highschool...both relationships lasted about a year. It's been about a year since my relationship with my last girlfriend fell apart.
I'm listening to Revolver right now. Downloaded if from the Other Music YSI thread. Jacaranda is a saint. If anyone hasn't been in there in the past day or so I suggest you check it out. Oh Judy.... |

Draw her in with drugs, seriously. Be talking to her and have a friend approach with weed, and ask if she wants to come and do some. And then hit on her while your both high. It'll work, or ruin everything you hoped for.
It's kind of a cult thing at my school. A certain group of kids with tye dye shirts and rasta hats always come out at lunch to do it. Yes, he's really into Satanism. /ohhh, made U l00k leik a f:amaze::amaze:l I know a goth who plays the clarinet. |
Then they're not tr00. Anything that requires effort, goths don't generally do. Unless it's a large grow operation or something.
Yeah, I don't have real goths where I live. |

That listening party thing those Alt & Indians came up with was a good idea. We should have our own, within the C.R. thread; having a whole R&M forum listening party would suck.

I think DT or some Metal band would win. That'd be a blast listening to them just shredding and screaming. /doesn't like metal For the one today we listened to Mesh-oo-gah (Dunno how to spell it) for 21 mins, one song. By god it was horrible. Don't think any one there liked it, a bunch of R&Mers voted for it apperently. |
meshuggah.
terrible. and i had npc on aim talking about how jeff buckley sucks! anyway, it would be cool to have a classic rock one. |
Yeah, meshuggah is like watching very technical and angry paint dry...
|
The albums wouldn't have to be Classic Rock though.
...And I'd have to pick them. |
Yeah, meshuggah is like watching very technical and angry paint dry...
Yeah, one band I never really "got"... I just realized that my Alice Cooper concert is two months from today  |
The albums wouldn't have to be Classic Rock though.

He had big balloons that he threw up and popped, they had fake money with his face on them. He also had his daughter do a rendition of Kill Bill, her being the role of Uma Thurman. Good show. |

Was it last summer? (maybe August?) Amazing show though, I've yet to see anything better. Today me and my friend went downtown, I bought some incense, a book, and a beautiful peace sign to sew onto my sweater thingy. There was also a guy playing banjo, we walked up and listened to him for a bit, then I asked him if he knew Blackberry Blossom, he played it beautifully (best version I've ever heard). I felt bad because I didn't have any cash so I gave him one of the cookies I bought. edit- Hey Walrus, when I went to Spain we got to go into some gypsy caves and listen to live flamenco music. It was amazing, I don't think I've ever seen someone play guitar that well. Some of the flamenco dancers were hot too, although they were gypsies so not many had teeth. They knew how to shake their booty though. |

We went with EF tours, and our group wasn't going, but their was another one that was, and I was all set to pay them 15 euros and go out, but my shaperone was a TOTAL bitch about it, even when I told her she could call my parents and they could OK it. It was as if she had heard a prophecy that said I would die if I went there. How annoying. Instead my chaperone broke her ankle and my room mates got wasted, and then busted. Bad night. |

Forced Listening is just when someone uploads a song than someone reviews it and uploads a song of their choice. |
