Impaled isn't very good live, tbh.
I could imagine them being pretty sloppy

iamtherobots 08-27-2009 03:39 PM

It wasn't even that, they were just boring.

Then again Malignancy and Phobia played before them when I saw them, so that might have something to do with it.

freeliminator 08-27-2009 03:39 PM

i saw impaled live and was surprised by the significant lack of gurple durp

Txus 08-27-2009 03:40 PM

Phobia kills live.

iamtherobots 08-27-2009 03:41 PM

srsly
i saw impaled live and was surprised by the significant lack of gurple durp
the lack of gurple durp was supremely disappointing

freeliminator 08-27-2009 03:45 PM

they could've at least triggered the gurple

iamtherobots 08-27-2009 03:55 PM

thomasj12e34 08-27-2009 04:49 PM

DBlitz 08-27-2009 04:50 PM

thomasj12e34 08-27-2009 04:58 PM

Stormrider 08-27-2009 06:33 PM
Nowhere near as good as last years tbh.
I rather this year tbh

I'm probably going to go. Autopsy and Incantation are the ones that made me really want to go, but others (especially Gorguts) shall be awsome, too.

iamtherobots 08-27-2009 06:35 PM

Don't even bother, Steve is just pissed because he doesn't recognize as many names on the bill this year.

illmitch 08-27-2009 06:38 PM

autopsy is my favorite death metal band of all time but i wouldnt go out to maryland to see a death metal fest

xMalcolmXx 08-27-2009 06:38 PM

they've got crabs too

Stormrider 08-27-2009 06:42 PM
autopsy is my favorite death metal band of all time but i wouldnt go out to maryland to see a death metal fest
that's probably due to all that rap you listen to on a regular basis lawl

illmitch 08-27-2009 06:42 PM

also because i live in kansas

plus i pretty much dont listen to any death metal made after 1995 so i would hate the majority of the bands there

iamtherobots 08-27-2009 06:42 PM

I too would not enjoy most of the bands there. But the select few (I mean, when the **** else am I going to see Autopsy?) make it worth it.

Anyway, I bought Graves of the Archangels today. Should be good.

Nostalgia 08-27-2009 07:42 PM

idk MDF would be cool, but i like being up close and personal with bands and that festival is ****ing packed with smelly metalheads. being up front would be sweet, but there's little chance of that

ATM 08-27-2009 07:45 PM

You bros could probably stay with me.

Deth 08-27-2009 08:04 PM

I will def try to make it up

I know I said that last year but now I have a car so that helps matters

Yeah, for sure. Whenever I look at videos from say Wacken, the huge distance from the stage to the band always kinda stands out. But, with that said, I've never been to a metal festival. It probably isn't even much of a bother..

I'm also going to save up like crazy for this. Will probably buy a bunch of CD's and shirts haha

Deth 08-27-2009 09:20 PM

dunno how I would transport the massive amount of **** I would buy

Stormrider 08-27-2009 09:21 PM

Yeah, I thought about that and haven't really come up with a solution yet.

rasputin 08-27-2009 09:45 PM

take a camel
Anyway, I bought Graves of the Archangels today. Should be good.
their probably the best "newer" death metal band, honestly. their EP and LP rank up there with the best releases of the decade, i think.

rasputin 08-28-2009 12:32 AM

yeah i'd agree
