Sunshine 06-12-2006 01:04 PM

Why is it that for the first time in like 2 years, I'm finally making an effort to exercise but not only is it not doing a damnable thing, it seems to be getting worse?

I swear losing 2 pounds is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

styler 06-12-2006 01:09 PM

because those 2 years of not excersising has made your body the craps.

Sunshine 06-12-2006 01:10 PM

Aww, I didn't mean like. Pulling the ugly American fat-*** thing.

I've still been walking around and stuff.

Like, to places hours away.

I mean like. Sit-ups and all those other weird ab exercises. The ones you learn in gym class in 9th grade.

maniac0796 06-12-2006 01:15 PM

I figured why go out and buy some dumbells, when i can just use a slegehammer :D

Go out in my garden, do 20 push ups, 20 things with the 'dumbell' per arm, 30 sit ups.

Janeway 06-12-2006 01:40 PM

My scalp is KILLING me.
It got sunburned like hell at Allentown yesterday. =/
I was brushing my hair this morning and I accidentally raked the brush over my part, and it's been stinging ever since.

Corkofski 06-12-2006 01:42 PM

i just started exercising.... i used to find situps harder than pressups, but its swapped.... damn beer

Janeway 06-12-2006 01:44 PM

Pressups.
Ahaha.

Why don't you english people just got back to sitting on your loos eating your potato crisps and smoking a fag??

styler 06-12-2006 02:31 PM

if you went out into your garden did 5 sets of 30 pushups, 3 sets of 15 "dumbell things" per arms and 10 sets of 50 situps. you might get something accomplished.

You like smoking Fags, Don't you?
And not the cigarette...

Janeway 06-12-2006 02:37 PM

I do.

I love it when they push in so far that their balls dribble on my chin.
And I also love it when they nut in my face, I just don't like the taste.

Yeah, I love when people lift 15 pound weights 50 times, 3 times a week and bitch when they dont see results

Sunshine 06-12-2006 03:07 PM

Bah, 3 times a week.

That's just silly.

Every day's the way to do it. At least 5 times a week.

raz0r 06-12-2006 03:21 PM
Bah, 3 times a week.

The muscles need time to rebuild inbetween training sessions, so 3-4 times a week owuld yield more gains than 5+

Sunshine 06-12-2006 03:23 PM

Eh, usually I'm too lazy on the weekends, so I do it every week day.

But I don't think I do enough, my muscles don't hurt or anything. Which is probably why I'm not getting anything out of it.

Its not that I want hardcore muscle. I just don't want 2 pounds =/

Janeway 06-12-2006 03:27 PM

Edit: Then go run a mile or two a day. Lifting weights is only going to add more bulk on.

I don't get it.
You have three stages. One has black metal, one has grunge, and one has a bouncy celtic band. Get a group of children, and let them choose.
Every single one of them will drift towards the celtic band.

Why does that change?
Does the image really have that much effect on what music people listen to?
I would much rather listen to Lunasa over Immortal any day.

Der Meister 06-12-2006 03:42 PM

Mmmm long time no see, not many familiar faces around :\

your muscles do need time to relax. the only muscle you should be able to do more than once every two days is your abs, they only need a couple of hours to recharge.

my old workout included 10 sets on the bench starting 20 plbs below my max, going up to my max in a 5 plb increment, and then going back down once i hit my max, then like 45 minutes of only doing my abs, a 15 minute run, doing 2 minute spurts of running and 45 seconds of walking, then the next day, just doing 10 or so pushups and a little run around the block to keep in shape and keep my body fit.

before i set up a schedule i used to go everyday, after awhile my muscles were actually getting flimsy and saggy and sore.

the trick is to not get your muscles sore. you want them to feel "big" like there at there best. anymore or less. and your not working out properly.

and to lose the 2 plbs. it shouldnt take more than a week to lose 2 plbs even on a ****ty eating schedule.

3 times a week is fine if you workout routine is good. But doing 50 curles every 3 days isnt gonna help a thing.

o.<<<
What the hell?
My dad yelled at me for watching Seinfeld and told me to turn it to the news.
I said no, because he knows I like to watch it, and he's not even in the fricken' room, and now he's all crotchity.
The news is a total fucking waste of time, anyways.
It's just mass suffering on easy access.

Win A Rabbit 06-12-2006 05:07 PM

About middle names... I have both my grandpas' names for my middle names. But my grandpa on my mom's side has Ernest as his first name, so my parents used his middle name for my middle name too.

They used both grandpa's names because they weren't sure if they were going to have another kid, and didn't want to leave one of the grandpas out. My brother got my dad's name as his middle name.

And my dad doesn't have a middle name. How weird.
