Shane, that In Pieces show is going to rule. Marigold is from around here and they're really good. Make sure you see them.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-31-2005 03:54 PM

That same show is at Bloomfield Ave, but it's not worth the drive for.

shane italian 08-31-2005 03:56 PM

Hahaha, I'm just going for In Pieces and it's a good 30-40 minute drive.

Berserker! 08-31-2005 03:57 PM

Got my Bane ticket; first ever show!

That's not worth it ether. Show here is 40-50, more if I have to get on the parkway.
That's not worth it ether. Show here is 40-50, more if I have to get on the parkway.
Hey, I would rather be making an hour drive to see one decent band than sit on my a'ss all night posting here.

cbmartinez 08-31-2005 04:00 PM

There's one in Trenton on Oct. 22nd Reiner. Go to that.

NewKindofArmy03 08-31-2005 04:00 PM

whoaaaaaaa, gas in Atlanta is at $5.57 a gallon. Thats insane.

My mom's getting chinese food now.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-31-2005 04:01 PM

That's farther for me.

That band is not worth it. This is coming from the kid who drove 2 hours to Philly just to see bane.

My mom said she'd make me ribs tonight.

RetiredAt21 08-31-2005 04:03 PM

I'd probably drive 2 hours to see Bane, if I had a car.

NewKindofArmy03 08-31-2005 04:04 PM

I'd drive 2 hours for a lot of shows if I had a car.

shane italian 08-31-2005 04:05 PM

I drove all over for Go It Alone and Sinking Ships. Hahah, I even ended up in South Central/Watts and Sinking Ships' van ended up breaking down.

BuddyBigsby 08-31-2005 04:06 PM

I don't care about the distance really, its more about the location for me.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-31-2005 04:07 PM

2 hours is boring as hell to drive, especially when that's only one way. I'm already sick of driving.

shane italian 08-31-2005 04:08 PM

And this isn't directed at Reiner or anything, the convo just reminded me of what I'm about to say.

I find it quite funny when you have a friend who says hardcore is dead and whatnot, yet they aren't willing to goto a show because there is only one band they like. These are the same people who will try and make me feel bad for selling out too.

CONNER_NWHC 08-31-2005 04:08 PM

i wouldnt drive two hours to see bane.

im not gunna go when they play here next month

shane italian 08-31-2005 04:09 PM
I don't care about the distance really, its more about the location for me.
I'm one of the few people who will goto a show regardless of distance and location.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-31-2005 04:10 PM

Most shows I go to only have 1 or 2 bands I really want to see. Sometimes I get lucky and there is 3 or more.

Distance is a factor, but the band overpowers the distance if they're good enough.

shane italian 08-31-2005 04:12 PM

Shows for me are a little more than just seeing the band though. If I have a couple of my best friends it can make an awesome night. The drives are fun, hanging out before the show is fun, the show itself rules, post-show hangouts are always good. It's just a nice way to get out of the house and actually have something to do and somewhere to go.

RouteOne 08-31-2005 04:13 PM

I drove to an all else failed concert for an hour only for the venue to shut the show down.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-31-2005 04:13 PM

Only like 2 of my friends go to shows anymore, the rest just get drunk and party.

New Cross Examination song, this rules. For fans of SOD and Municipal Waste.

cbmartinez 08-31-2005 04:14 PM

Reiner, I'll meet you at Bloomfield.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-31-2005 04:16 PM

You wouldn't actually drive all the way up there, it's probably closer for you to go to Philly shows.

BuddyBigsby 08-31-2005 04:16 PM
I drove to an all else failed concert for an hour only for the venue to shut the show down.
Haha, I remember I walked away from The Answer, Outbreak, and Internal Affairs because I was so pissed A18 and The Risk Taken dropped.

NewKindofArmy03 08-31-2005 04:16 PM

I only have one friend who goes to shows regularly, and one who will go to them every once in a while. Last one he went to though was in December.

shane italian 08-31-2005 04:16 PM

I'm really upset about the fact that we can't move. F'ucking moms.

NewKindofArmy03 08-31-2005 04:17 PM

Probably, Trenton is only like 45 mins from downtown Philly.
