Don't listen to Sean. He's just a homophobe who doesn't belive gay people can make good music. He's in serious denial.
Can you blame me? Queen sucked donkey cock. If you can't manage Should I Stay, then try the intro to Brand New Cadillac. If you can't play a 4 chord song then you'd have trouble with Death or Glory and Clash City Rockers. |
Do not disrespect Queen until you have written a better song than Bohemian Rhapsody.

I wrote one about a girl that was called "Don't Make Your Black Boyfriend Beat Me Up." I couldn't think of any other gay musicians *should've used George Michael*. But back on topic... anyone with a guitar should learn the solo to Brand New Cadillac. Its hella fun to play. |
That's a cover though isn't it?
|
Brand New Cadillac is a Vince Taylor tune.
Don't Make Your Black Boyfreind Beat Me Up is original and doesn't suck donkey cock. |
Great post. Alot of the punk bands from 1990 up owe alot to Joe, and most do have their respect for him. He was amazing, The Clash were so good, even after Joe kicked Mick out. And Joe's solo stuff is outstanding. One of my favorite artists ever, R.I.P.
The Clash were so good, even after Joe kicked Mick out.
No they weren't. |
enter clash whores.

What a stupid question. btw, Queen kicks ***. And Freddy Mercury too and... well...you know... |
No they weren't.
Haha. I love playing Clash songs on guitar. Very simple riffs, and they are fun. I think London Calling is a better album musically, but their S/T just appeals to me more. |

NO. That ain't how it goes. Don't disrespect Mick Jones like that, he taught Paul how to play bass. E-0--0----- B-0--2----- G-1--2--4-- D-2--2--4-- A-2--0--2-- E-0-------- Those are the chords. You're welcome . The solo is above you. |
^ E, A, B is the rythm to the song (Joe). The riff is the lead in which Mick plays, I think I am correct, but maybe not.
|
Are you retarded?
 :upset: sean im talking about the intro isnt the intro on guitar and bass the same. this part: G:|-----------------| D:|-----------------| A:|---------0-0-1-0-| E:|-0-0-3-3---------| |
^ Yes. Then it goes down a string for (A).
|
yeap. so the guitar and bass are the same for the intro.
|
No they weren't.
Much as it saddens me to say it, I have to agree with that. |
for the first time in a while i played my bass to the london calling cd. so fun. havent done it in ages.
|
I can never find decent tabs for any of the songs on London Calling. As a result of this I only know London Calling except for the solo, Brand New Cadillac, Clampdown, Guns of Brixton, Death or Glory, and Train in Vain.
|
i looked for you and tried to find lots of stuff with london calling tabs i couldnt get much. just google it allot. i just learned Clampdown on the bass. i love that bass line.

Anyone ever heard of this?
woah, thats awesome, i didnt read all the post though just the first one. is it going to be on sale? |
I should get that lost album thing.
|
it sounded kinda fake but i guess its real.?
|
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It looks like someone went into photoshop and replaced "Texas Ranger" with "Joe Strummer"
|
yea it does look like that. i stil havent got viva la joe or whatever its called.
|
When ya think about it, that thing seems faker that Tara Reid's left breast.
And now, I will explain how awesome From Here To Eternity is. I'll point out several awesome parts. On Complete Control, the entire song is f.ucking sweet, but the base part is the "total - C-O-N, CONTROL!" bit. It goes like this: Paul: Total.. Joe: WHAAA?!? Mick and Paul (loudly): C-O-N, CONTROL!! I will have more installments on its greatness. |
oh please post more installments of its greatness. that album is awesome, even though i dont own it.

Installment Deux
/turns on mp3 player, goes to teh Clash The Magnificent Seven The first three and a half minutes of the song are much like the Sandinista! version. After Joe goes "news flash, from the Clash!" then Topper and Paulo do the drumroll / cool bass part thing, it's just Topper going at it on the hi-hat and Paulo throwing in a little bass part. Now this is what Joe says: Well don't you stand there going over to sleep. I know this song is... 20 minuites long and I know this song is f.ucking long...... Well where is magnificence? They said it was out here somewhere, out on these roads. Just a liiiiiiitttle m-m-m-m-magn- SHUT UP YOU! HEY! Who you tryin' to kid?!?! Don't go lookin' for that, kid! Now it is just Paulo's bass and Joe's voice. This is the best part. Don't you know that magnificence is strictly out of order, and truly reserved for the upper class!? Why don't you get bored, go back to school, and don't ask for any of this magnificence! But Sir! Just a little bit! Oh Sir just a little bit?!?! It makes me feel like I'm ALIVE! mm-m-m-mm-m-m-m-maaaaag MAAAAAaAGNIFICENCE!! AAAAAAAAHH! |
hhahahah awesome. what is joe talking about though?
|
DUDE! Listen to what the song's about. The daily 9 to 5, same s'hit different day, and the oppression of the working class by greedy bastards.
Installment Three will either be White Man In Hammersmith or Straight to Hell. Straight to Hell is 7 minutes long and has tons of great parts, so I may save it for the final installment. |
Do white man first. I like it better.
|
Alright, I might do it tonite, although I think Straight to Hell is amazing.
|
both equally good songs. but at this moment in time Staight to Hell is sounding better.
