Woo!.... on another note ..... i saw this bass... and kinda instantly fell inlove with it ... http://www.musicyo.com/product_specs.asp?pf_id=009 .... musicianfriend gots it for 199... so maybe it will be my next bas purchase :):)

reverse headstocks = win

e p 08-25-2004 11:30 PM

Its the opposite for me. I think the reverse headstocks look cheesy. Other tan that it looks like a good bass and a cheap fiver.

Foxfire 08-25-2004 11:46 PM

My next purchases:

Roland DB-500
Boss GT-6B

BAM, set for life basswise.

Though I wouldn't mind throwing in a fretless Warmoth Gecko (with an ebony fretboard...yummy slappable fretless :p)

ScorpSath 08-25-2004 11:47 PM

Tonight I learned all of classical thump BAM!

Foxfire 08-25-2004 11:49 PM

Even the parts that aren't in the book?

ScorpSath 08-25-2004 11:53 PM

Nah, I got a bit of the tapping down but pretty much just got the tab done..

ScorpSath 08-25-2004 11:54 PM

Hey foxfire I got like 250$ and am looking to buy a new bass of rondo music or a new amp any suggestions?

Foxfire 08-25-2004 11:58 PM

For an amp, if you save up 50 more you can grab yourself a Fender Rumble 100 or an SWR 100 watt.

As for Rondo...HOLY **** I just looked at their stock and they have some nice new basses.

I want me a fretless Brice Z (though I still need a fretted back up 6er).

ScorpSath 08-26-2004 12:00 AM

Any suggestions for bass more strings teh better. And Look at the amps on Ronda any there you recomend. See I was in a band and the drummer owned like anamp that was just massive with a fender head..... Beauty then we broke up. Leaving me with my peice 10 watt amp..

Foxfire 08-26-2004 12:05 AM

Well I'm sort of biased. I am a huge fan of 6+ string basses.

My Rondo favorites:

Brice Bubinga-top 6erFretted or fretless

Brice Z (6er); it's got wider string spacing.

http://www.rondomusic.bigstep.com/item.jhtml;$sessionid$TPPIS0YAABPURTZENUGXBMWPERWRJPX0?UCIDs=850849%7C940496&PRID=1308589
Brice Z (6er); FRETLESS. GOD I find unlined fretboards oddly sexually appealing.

Douglas SB-35 SN (5er); It's made of ASH. I'd love to string this baby EADGC.

http://www.rondomusic.bigstep.com/item.jhtml;$sessionid$TPPIS0YAABPURTZENUGXBMWPERWRJPX0?UCIDs=850849%7C940496&PRID=1473274
Douglas SB-26 SN (6er); HOLY **** an Ash 6er. I LOVE Rondo. Gah I wish I had money.

http://www.rondomusic.bigstep.com/item.jhtml;$sessionid$TPPIS0YAABPURTZENUGXBMWPERWRJPX0?UCIDs=850849%7C940496&PRID=1018907
Essex BG-205 (5-string); Another nice 5-string. Mmmm...

Foxfire 08-26-2004 12:09 AM

Well I'm going to go to bed.

Holy **** that Brice Z fretless is sexy. I think I'm going to have to get me one of those babies...mmm...

Night MX.

ScorpSath 08-26-2004 12:13 AM

Nite fox. Thanx for your help.

madthumbs 08-26-2004 02:52 AM

so much hate towards the n00bs lately, i mean yeah it pisses me off too, but one simple word and redirection would be better than heaps of "closed" signs or something like the pinapples and all that. We don't want to turn into the pit guys.

Anyway, i havn't been posting much, but i am gunna start now i think, just needed to get back into the swing of things after my "hiatus" so yeah.

JoeDaddio 08-26-2004 02:58 AM

Alma 08-26-2004 05:35 AM

These holidays, im so getting a PO box (Post office box) and just putting adds in all different papers asking good citizens to send 1 dollar to an aspiring young musician who needs funds.

Wurd.

Damrod 08-26-2004 05:52 AM

Ok, I feel devastated, destroyed, down on the ground...

I was hoping to change my study focus, to change into another field (from IT to Multimediadesign). Today I got the message I am rejected... :upset:

I could cry... Just needed to tell somewhere.

gaslight 08-26-2004 06:20 AM

The real winner in that situation would be the world's postal services.

LightRaven 08-26-2004 06:51 AM

JoeDaddio 08-26-2004 07:31 AM

I could ask the same about Crow Wing Co, MN... Big stinkin' county, not so many people.

Oh and hey! I'm starting my long haul this week- the next day I have off is Sept. 24. Good thing I partied hard with the boys from Fargo on Friday night... Not to mention celebrated my 12 anniversary. Hubby wasn't so thrilled with me getting pulled into a wrestling match with the bassist and drummer, though.... :D I enjoyed myself thoroghly. (Hey, when you're 32, married for 12 yrs, and have 2 kids, getting your leg humped by a 19 yr old is pretty **** flattering!)

Now if I can just get Travis (bassist) into town so we swap necks like he's been talking about FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS!!!!! *thwaps Travis*
