The main point being reggae being ill and ska being ghey skinhead music.

Don't worry about what kind of band it'll be. Better yet, take advantage of your friend's (obviously) differing tastes and assemble a band consisting of vastly different musicians. Like a metal guitarist, ska guitarist, hip-hop bassist, and a funk drummer. Or something. And don't try and tell each other to play, just bring your own stuff to the table and try and fit it together [B]collaboratively[/B]. As a [B]team[/B]. [B]Together[/B].

infact, i have a HMV promo cd with one of their tracks tucked in between plenty of indie and electronica.

There is so much bad Indie on MTV it's not even funny.

I like Indie but alot of it tends to sound the same after awhile especially with few bands having very unique motifs.

World War II was ghey too but a lot of good things (like technological advances) happened because of it.

I just watched (the end of) a game between Argentina and the Netherlands, draw 0-0. I couldn't tell if it was a live broadcast though - was it, or was it an old game? Because they randomly stopped after full time, not even going into extra.

I watched the England and German soccer riots last night on ESPN, it was great tbh.,
