Warcraft is a lot like Starcraft in the unit combinations, like.... if you just mass Huntresses, you'll get pwned, but if you get Huntresses and Archers... well... whole new story. But yes, SC is all about the numbers, yet a skilled player will rely on individual units, in WC you have to rely on the individual unit in order to be half decent though, which is why one of my best friends who is quite good at SC sucks at WC :).

That sounds like me. I'm not too bad at Starcraft (or at least I was) but I'm terrible at WC.

But a mass of Huntresses wouldn't do badly. The archers wouldn't be needed if you have a Priestess with Trueshot Aura.

Not really, in WC every race has its strengths/weaknesses as well.

Like for instance, the Orcs start out incredibly strong, but because they start out some strong, their workers are incredibly slow. Humans on the other hand basically rely on upgrades and technologies, so their workers have a power building feature, and they start off with more food than the other races. Night Elf is all around the most balanced of the races, but their workers don't deplete lumber, just gather, and the wisps don't leave the gold mine ever, and can't be attacked while mining, also their workers become their buildings [zerg much?]. The Undead are basically the antithesis of Night Elf though, they only need 5 workers and can gather gold out the ***, and they freaking summon buildings, but then their buildings can only be built in certain areas, which makes their bases pretty concentrated and perfect for siege.

Humans are the most overpowered race EVER. :angry: I always get my *** kicked by humans.

Yeah, I play NE, but dude.... if you have Hunts alone, anything that does piercing damage will tear you apart, and then if the person gets air..... pwned. My 1v1 strategy goes as follows: KOTG->Hunts->Beast Master->archers->Dark Ranger->ballistas.

All you need to do is rush a human player with ranged units and a tank hero/hero with summoned units. Cause if you look at it, the Human units at tier 1 are incredibly weak without upgrades, the footman has like 200 health, and the rifleman starts out with ****ty range, then the militia are basically faster footmen with less health, who last for a short period of time, so the basic human player will most likely tech, and just mass a few rifles and get a bunch of peasants, then when they call to arms, you tank it up, and then focus fire the riflemen :cool:.

Are you an FT player or RoC? I usually get a mass of archers with unts thrown in. I top it off with a Trueshot Aura Priestess to add to damage and a D.Hunter with Immolation to help out the hunts. It works most of the time.

It's the human heroes that get me. Whenever I start to fight them, all their heroes are always f[SIZE=2]u[/SIZE]cking invincible for no apparent reason. I play TFT, but yeah... if you rush the Human player, their Paladin won't be strong enough to have the shield AND holy light, and then the holy light will be very weak at level 1, and if you have a few melee units, after you take out the rifles, focus the hero.... you just need to look out for their caster heros, cause blizzard & flame strike pwn ranged units :(.

An Arch Mage with the elementals pisses me off no matter how high my level is. :mad: Blizzard, summoning the elementals is lethal. Luckily I've never experienced Mass Teleport.

Are you not able to see the video? It didn't look [I]as[/I] bad as many cities. It was still very highly damaged, but Ocean Springs still had several buildings standing in many parts.

Because there's a lot of 'em in New Orleans/Mississippi? Also, a lot of the people that weren't able to evacuate were the poorer folk, not that all black people are poor, but...yea.

I'd also like to know where the international support is. I haven't heard anything about donations or resources coming from other countries.

Oh my lord... in an FFA, someone gets a level 6 am and some tanks, all they need is one knight, they have it run to the town hall, then the person is dead.

I used to play human, I'd always get casters/riflemen/spellbreakers and a few tanks. It's a lethal FFA strategy, then you get the Archmage, the Bloodmage, and the Pitlord, and do the mass AOE spells... it pwns everything!

I suck at FFAs. :( I just got Frozen Throne a few days ago so I'm still trying to get used to the new stuff as well. I haven't played a single online game with it yet.

I read in the newspaper that 80% of the city is completely flooded. That was afew days ago, so it might be more by now.

What would he have done? Set up a gigantic wall to stop it from hitting? All they can really do is wait for it to pass and and rebuild as quickly as possible.

The hurricane wasnt anything to worry about on Friday. On Saturday it became a category 5. We didnt have much time to do anything. New Orleans isnt Bush's fault, blame whoever designed it decades ago.

Im screwed.... I may never be able to go home again. The entire region is out of control. People are being robbed, car jacked, there isnt any water, or power, and soon we will run out of food in the stores. Sometime in the next 2 days im moving to Idaho, and I will continue school there. My dad has to go back to Keesler AFB in a week and help repair the base. Im gonna try to graduate high school early(I am eligible for 1/2 year graduation), and get on with my life somehow. Christ, things were going so good, now this happens.

I'm sorry, man. :( That sounds terrible. It's hard for me to understand since I live up north and pictures aren't the same thing. You seem to be taking this remarkabley well though.
