Well
Metal Militia Motorbreath Whiplash Ride The Lightning Fade to Black Creeping Death Call of Ktulu Master of Puppets Orion Damage Inc. Blckened One Harvester of Sorrow To Live Is To Die and the rest is up to them.
Nice list. Orion is probably in my top 5 favorite Metallica songs. EDIT: Except, youre missing Dyers Eve |
What's the point in making a greatest hits? people will always moan about how some song didn't get on but some crappier one did.
Like the Megadeth one. If I were to choose a Metallica greatest hits CD, it'd probably go like this... Hit The Lights Jump In The Fire The Four Horsemen Seek And Destroy Metal Militia Fight Fire With Fire Ride The Lighting Creeping Death Battery Master of Puppets Blackened One Dyers Eve Probably about it. |
Mine would be:
Ride The Lightning Creeping Death Master Of Puppets Orion Blackened AJFA Dyers Eve Disposable Heroes Call Of Ktutlu(sp?) Hit The Lights Four Horsemen Seek And Destroy Whiplash Dont think im missing any... |
I would have:
Blackened The Four Horsemen Seek & Destroy Battery Leper Messiah Orion One Creeping Death Fade To Black Disposable Heroes Nothing Else Matters Dyers Eve To Live Is To Die |
Personally, I think there'd be an awful lot more stuff from after AJFA then you guys are putting down.
The Four Horsemen Seek And Destroy For Whom The Bell Tolls Fade To Black Battery Master of Puppets Blackened One Enter Sandman Nothing Else Matters Until It Sleeps King Nothing Where The Wild Things Are Fuel (I hate that song, but it'd go on) St Anger The Unnamed Feeling That's a list with 2 from each album. Though I think I'd like to see I Disappear and No Leaf Clover on there too. :smash: |
AJFA has too much filler.
|
Yes, but Blackened and One are the only two deserving ones to go on a Greatest Hits. To Live Is To Die, possibly, only as a Cliff tribute. A last track or something. I don't think Dyer's Ever should go on, no matter how awesome it is.

Please cease use on the hammer smiley.
It is quite annoying. |
What exacly does it mean ?
|
I just don't think its Greatest Hits material. Like... Ktulu is an awesome song, as is Orion, as is TLITD. To put them all on would be overkill. or even two. Maybe even one is pushing it. Greatest Hits are the most accessible songs for the public in a lot of cases. Their main target audience ain't mainly established Metallica fans.
Oh, and... Gutted. :smash: |
Can't what?
See their greatest hits unless you meant all the albums are their greatest hits. |
Yea that's what I meant. LoL
I love all the albums |
it took me a while to get that.
You made me think on a weekend. |
Yea that's what I meant. LoL
I love all the albums
I find it impossible to love all of metallicas albums :P by the way anyone know roughly how many records metallica have sold i heard its about 85mil ..not sure , want to know just to prove a point to a mate of mine , cheers |
Yea I beleive it's about 90...anyway that doesn't really matter.
The only one's I'm not that into are Load and Reload. Sorry for making you think LoL I hate it when that happens on weekends |
I'm the one who got this thread going
back when there where what, 20 posts per page? |
Have any of you noticed all the similarities between "Kill 'Em All", and "St. Anger"? I have, and have prepared a list.
On both, James's vocals could have been better, On both, the production could have been better, On both, there is no "ballad", eg. "Ride The Lightning" has "Fade to Black", "Master of Puppets" has "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", and "..And Justice For All" has "One", On both, the front cover includes a hand, On both, one of the main colors for the cover is red, Both album titles are aggresive. "Kill 'Em All" and "St. Anger", Both albums were the first album for the bassist of the album, Both could be classified as "Thrash", Both kick ass! |

But they did want to name kill em all metal up your *** at first, but I like kill em all title better. :thumb: St. anger is thrash too really, and more thrashy than metallica has made since like 1990s or so. |
Imagine if it had been Metal Up Your Ass. They'd be regretting that now.

No way, Im pretty sure they're gonna keep making albums till they're like 60 or something. They're not just gonna stop all of a sudden. Plus they just hired Rob like 2 years ago, so they probably do have plans for at least few more albums. |

God I hope not |

**** i just saw an ad for racing, and they were using Fuel by Metallica.I suppose thats a big metal up your as$ to those sad sacks who rip off metallica because of St.Anger, Load and Reload albums.I reckon everybody is going soft because of the new music scene with those dickhead rappers and that r'n'b crap.St.Anger is some of the heaviest $hit people will hear, and they don't like it.thats sad considering most of the people who like metallica call themselves 'Hardcore' fans, but still choose to talk **** about St.Anger.
