I just think they're mediocre, just trying to piss off the Agalloch fanboys by calling them both bands bad. I mean I hardly listen to metal anymore as it is so don't be too suprised when I say I don't like a certain metal band.

I'm definitely an Agalloch fanboy. And this is very mediocre, especially for Agalloch. John Haughm can do so much better than this. Really I don't know what to say about this except I'm dissapointed.

Ashes Against The Grain and The Mantle are both amazing.

Pale Folklore is amazing too. Just in a very different way than AATG and The Mantle. That's what I like about Agalloch, every album can be special in its own way while still being distinctly Agalloch. This new song isn't anything special at all though. Its old recycled concepts and that's about it.

That's probably cause there isn't any substance to it. After listening to the song multiple times now I'm really not impressed. I'm still hopeful though, I'll still pick the EP up for sure, it could still be good.

I think the new Agalloch is decent to good. I know they can do a lot better though... the whispered, echoey vocals and the piano part are pretty lame.

So turning 21 = my parents paying for booze. I'm pretty happy.

i just bought a shedload of beer. It must suck some mad balls to have the drinking age at 21. I had a dodgy fake id when i was in america that said i was a 25 year old welsh doctor and it got accepted everywhere even when some of my mates would give over legit IDs and they would get turned down :lol:

I have a legit ID that says I'm 22....yay.

I never bothered with fake IDs because I have this friend, James, and we were both born in 1989 but at far ends of the year (him, January 19 and me November 27) plus in Canada you only have to be nineteen, so in fifteen days I don't have to worry about that.

And even before that I didn't have to worry because my older sister works at a liquor store half the year, so I've been prepared for alcoholism since I was sixteen!

I think I am going to stop drinking tbh.

I'm gonna seriously cut back on smoking... it gets boring if you do it too often. Plus, my mom found my bowl and a little bit of my weed one New Year's Eve. That sort of sucked... but I got out of it quite nicely.
