Oh yea1 Joe the linguist!

It does sound good down tuned. I have a hard time tuning to standerd tuning
but can nail anything downtuned.

I have both of those concerts and they both rock!

Agreed. I love playing their stuff down, it sounds so amazing. It makes it sound bad when I want to record something to the album, like I recorded fade to black similar to the album and it just sounded bad...
We were doing a cover of FWTBT but never really got anywere

You suck Joe!!
/AM THE ONLY ONE THAT RECORDED STUFF

Britton 11-11-2005 05:17 PM

No I said that cause you beat me to telling him

Joe 11-11-2005 05:17 PM
No I said that cause you beat me to telling him
Ah ok, but I am still the only one that tried to do that project... i think. What do you play again? We need to record some Metallica.

Britton 11-11-2005 05:19 PM

I can play it all...on everything...and I'm more confdent in my singing as well

metalmilitia101 11-11-2005 06:43 PM
I don't really try learning KEA songs. I know 2 of KEA, 5 of RTL, 4 of MoP, 1 of AJFA (more or less), 8 on the Black Album, none of Load, 2 of Reload, 2 of Garage Inc, none of St. Anger (but a few riffs)

not necessarily solos...:upset:

I'm not a big fan of Whiplash, but it is a good song
my problem is that on guitar i usually only know like 1/2 or a bit of a metallica song lol. i just want to learn the cool stuff...i guess it's ok bc i'm a drummer and it doesn't matter what i know on guitar lol. but in an upcoming gig i will be switching instruments with our guitarist, partly ta please the audience :D , and i will be playing all of the solos for ftb, so that will be really really fun

Britton 11-11-2005 06:47 PM

That sounds cool I should do something like that with my drummer

metalmilitia101 11-11-2005 06:48 PM

it always makes the crowd go wild when they see people changing instruments :thumb:

If I could play drums I would. I can't though. I could do bass...

Britton 11-11-2005 06:55 PM

I'm not a great drummer. But I can do some stuff

Stormrider 11-11-2005 07:25 PM

If i were to switch instruments Ide go and sing.
But I wish i could sing. Vocals are very important to me and singing is fun, but I suck at it.

Britton 11-11-2005 08:30 PM

So? there are tons of really bad singers...it's not like you would be alone

Joe 11-11-2005 08:48 PM

My guitar teacher said what you need to do is just sing at the top of your lungs. Play something on guitar or bass when your home alone and just play it really loud where you can hear yourself but no one else can. It helps you be in tune and get it so your voice will stay in tune when singing.

Yeah, I use to do that a lot but now i dunno, i dont sing that much anymore when I play. I play along with my radio. I sing parts of songs here and there but i mostly concentrate on my playing as I cant realy do both.

metalmilitia101 11-11-2005 10:42 PM

i'm not necessarily strong in the vocals section, but it sounds better when i sing louder, i can get some good vibrato and people actually are like wow your a good singer lol. i can do jaymz's lil growl like perfectly, but then i start coughing after about 5 minutes lol.

have fun skating with yur girl tomorrow night joe, i had fun tonight :naughty:

Britton 11-11-2005 11:40 PM

What's this about girls? I'm going dancing with my gal tommarow!

Maybe the DJ will through on some Tallica

ohh that reminds me, when we were skating i told the deejay to put on some metallica and he put on sad but true, which was fun to skate to...although my girly almost fell over cuz i was jiving on ice haha. brit, me and joe were talking earlier and i mentioned that i was going ice skating with my girly tonight and he said he was tomorrow night. metallica is fucking great to skate to heh

Britton 11-12-2005 12:00 AM

I don't skate but I would imagine they would be. Like I said I'm dancing tommarow. I don't think they will have any Tallica though

metalmilitia101 11-12-2005 12:07 AM
I don't skate but I would imagine they would be. Like I said I'm dancing tommarow. I don't think they will have any Tallica though
lol, you'd be surprised. well, i guess it depends on what kind of dance it is. i went to this one chic's birthday party, she had rented out like a whole city center, and there were hundreds of people (yeah i have rich friends haha) and there was a huge dance floor with a deejay who was playing all this christian rock and some rap. so i went up there and i was like dude do you have any metallica or hard rock/heavy metal and he was like ahhh man a breath of fresh air! lol, so we got to rock out to most of the black album, mop and fuel, and alot of other great bands like gnr, ac/dc, zeppelin, and other stuff. metallica is such a great band to be crazy to lol

bigbadbulldog54 11-12-2005 12:44 AM

good idea

Metallica should do a greatest hits album or set where fans can vote on their favorite songs to put on the cd's. A good way to stop recording without making an all new album that everybody hates.

vashts80 11-12-2005 12:45 AM

Sadly the DJs that my school hires for our uhh..wtf is it called. I can't remember, but it's like, they rent a DJ and amusement park **** and put it in a field across the street during the last week of school. The DJs they hire suck, no Metallica or any metal at all. It's always Greenday or rap

Thta's the worst idea I've ever heard.

There isn't one metallica album, or any album in fact, that everybody hates. Metallica will do what they want to do, not what people want them to do. :thumb:

metalmilitia101 11-12-2005 01:15 AM

yep, metallica runs their own tight shift, just barely hanging on to their band of the people image. they just kind of fool around nowadays and let their anger and spirit be healthy and free and in control lol, in their words.

Yeah that's the best way to do it. Let's face it no-one liked anything by tallica since re-load. I still wanna see the though.

I think a greatest hits album would be horrible for Metallica. They have so many great songs, to put them all on one cd would be horrible. I would say their lesser known songs are better than their "hits" anyway.

I cant say I agree. Hi

Jev 11-12-2005 06:25 AM

What's the point in making a greatest hits? people will always moan about how some song didn't get on but some crappier one did.

Stormrider 11-12-2005 06:37 AM

^^ Yeah, good point.

But if ever they did make one, what songs would you guys like to be on it ?

Jev 11-12-2005 06:53 AM

Well

Metal Militia
Motorbreath
Whiplash
Ride The Lightning
Fade to Black
Creeping Death
Call of Ktulu
Master of Puppets
Orion
Damage Inc.
Blckened
One
Harvester of Sorrow
To Live Is To Die

and the rest is up to them.
