My town only has 6000 people.
That is pretty small. What's the town called? Regina's got about 200 thousand, although it seems really small.

What's the JPJ album? I don't own any of his albums. I've got Page's Outrider, and a couple Plant albums...but no JPJ.

I was watching Death Wish 2 the other day, Page did most of that sountrack I think. The music was pretty cool when I actually paid attention to it.

Annapolis only has 40,000 or so, and it's a State Capital.

thickasabrick 04-23-2005 07:36 PM

Is Death Wish 2 some sort of movie? I've never seen it. Does Page have like a band and stuff or what? I'm curious.

Yea, it's an awesomly bad movie. I can't exactly remember who he was working with, but if you ever see the movie listen to the music.

pigonthewing82 04-23-2005 07:41 PM

Does anybody know if the Tommy movie is any good, or would I just be better off sticking to the album.

lunch998 04-23-2005 07:43 PM

I heard it was fairly good, although alittle weird. Keith Moon plays Uncle Ernie, I think.

Vocals = ?

Arrakakaka 04-23-2005 08:12 PM

I've heard a few songs from Robert Plant on the radio and I may want to check him out.

Well I know the music is Catfish John but I'll have to check back on the vocals.

edit: I used google on the vocals so I wont say who it is.

Broken Arrow 04-23-2005 08:19 PM

lunch998 04-23-2005 08:24 PM

Well, good job on what you did know. I'll just let everyone know the answer to the other part.

The vocalist is Captain Beefheart.

They do not fit that well, but Beefheart's song I chose had no music, so it would jell easily with the repeated main line of "Catfish John". Plus, I used Beefheart's tune because I do not know how to strip a song of everything but its vocals.

:)

Does anyone else find "The Christian Life" EXTREMLY offensive?

I've never heard the song, but I read the lyrics, and I didn't see anything that could even be slightly offensive.

RockAndRoll 04-24-2005 12:45 PM

I`ve never heard of it, could any body post a link to the lyrics or something?

lunch998 04-24-2005 12:46 PM

My buddies tell me that I should've waited
They say I'm missing a whole world of fun
But I still love them and I sing with pride
I like the Christian life
I won't lose a friend by heeding God's call
For what is a friend who'd want you to fall
Others find pleasure in things I despise
I like the Christian life
My buddies shun me since I turned to Jesus
They say I'm missing a whole world of fun
I live without them and walk in the light
I like the Christian life
I won't lose a friend by heeding God's call
For what is a friend who'd want you to fall
Others find pleasure in things I despise
I like the Christian life
I like the Christian life

I don't know how thats offensive either.
Does anyone else find "The Christian Life" EXTREMLY offensive?
No, not at all. I find it rather nice and sincere. In fact, I actually like The Byrds more because of it.

P.S. I've posted the song like 10 times.

RockAndRoll 04-24-2005 12:49 PM

Sorry I hadn`t realised. I can`t say I find it offensive.

Badmoon 04-24-2005 12:50 PM

Schyma, why is it offensive?

Woodstock 04-24-2005 12:52 PM

It's more suggestive than offensive.
