I read the book and I was like "oh this is cool" and then I saw the movie and was like "this is stupid why is there some creepy kid this is unnecessary". Then I saw part of the Ring 2 and it was bad, so I turned it off and read "Spiral", the actual sequel to Ring. I just need Loop now.

that part was really stupid. and the Ring book was seriously awesome. Then they made the movie(s) that were compromised dumbed down stupid, supplementing the implicit eerieness with some ugly kid and totally wrecking the dynamic between the characters by changing their marital status and genders around.

for awhile I wanted to see the Japanese one. but then I heard it was just as bad as the hollywood version so I decided against it.

Whenever my tracks don't scrobble, I close the last.fm application and reopen it. Usually gets scrobbling again afterwards.

if you cant tell the difference you're probably either blind or not watching actual hd content. it's night and day.

Odds are in Australia it's different though. I know that in the UK SD is way better than it is in the States, so the difference is huge.

PAL SD is still not any better. The interlacing doesnt' change much. It's seriously night and day. Yes, the shift from 720 to 1080 is minimal, but when you're involving millions and millions of pixels instead of a couple thousand it's literally exponential.
