Well the thing is I did better on my Freshman year SAT than my Junior year PSAT...
Wow. How'd you manage to do that? I did better freshman year than sophmore on the PSAT, but we haven't taken the PSATs yet this year. |

Because all my scores dropped about 100 points per section on average. Meh..whatever. I had a high SAT score at least :) |
Ah ok.
Well I'm off to bed. I was up late (AT GREEN DAY! They really kicked ass, I don't care what anyone thinks. He's a better guitarist than the albums show) G'night people  |

Okay, I might as well.
Well the thing is I did better on my Freshman year SAT than my Junior year PSAT...
Hopefully I'll do better on this year's Junior PSAT than I did last year on my PSAT. All of these acronnyms and abbreviated titles are confusing me. |
Holy crap, I'm almost done organizing my music on the computer!
I may even be trendy and get an Audioscrobbler account  Of course, it will only work for eight months (since it counts all music played, and my brother listens to some awful material), but heyyyyyyy. |

What does your brother listen to?

Jake: I forgot that I could shut it off, thanks; however, I don't have any music on my desktop at home. I mean, I could throw on my external to the desktop, but that would be a pain in the ass.
He doesn't listen to horrible things, I guess. Mainstream rock bands like 3 Doors Down, The Killers (for the sake of this discussion, I'm calling them rock), etc. He listens to a lot of modern pop-punk... Green Day, Blink-182, etc. I can't count the number of times he had Bowling For Soup blasting while he was on the computer. I would have embraced that band's execution over the summer. He has one of those iPod minis, but it's not full and not very organized. But if I had to name five bands, those would be the big five. Oh, and he has some Smash Mouth on there, for a sixth. Everything else is random crap that I don't recognize or care to acknowledge, heh. |
Wow, I used to have a real thing for Smashmouth(Back when All Star was released) I heard that song on the radio the other day, and wow! I used to be into bland music. The song was extremely boring, and just bare. :-|
NP: Symphony X- Inferno |
Smashmouth has always been one of those bands that I found REALLY annoying. His voice, and just the way the music is put together, very annoying.

I don't really get what your message entails. I listen to bland music. Not everything has to register a ten on the holyshitometer of technicality. Everyone started their musical listening experience somewhere. Some are hellbent on shying away from it, some don't mind spinning "bland" music once in awhile. Music listening would be so uninspiring and, well, bland if everything was super technical wankery.
EDIT: the obvious discrepancy would be Slug, who was listening to Radiohead as soon as his mother ejaculated him from her vaginal canal. |
In America, it gets confusing as soon as a non-American calls a sport 'Football'.
As an american i confuse the hell out of people because of my year in europe i almost always instinctively call soccer "Football", especially because i dont enjoy american football in the least. I am one of the few americans who does not watch the superbowl, not even for the commercials.
The first Dimmu Borgir song I ever heard was on an Ozzfest 2003 sampler, and I didn't like it at all. But this song is apparently one of their older songs: Puritainia. It's rad. :thumb:
Haha thats not that old really at all, maybe a few years. When people say "Older dimmu borgir" i think back to when they still sung in norwegian.
Bodom After Midnight always makes me think of Living After Midnight by Judas Priest. :p Bodom after midnight! Rocking till the dawn! Loving till the morning, then I'm gone! I'm gone!
Living After Midnight > Bodom After Midnight No doubt bodom took the title from the old priest tune though.
I like A7X... they went power metal... :D
No, they went from bad to worse |

I find Dylan quite bland Musically. |

In other news, I'm re-posting Aaron's photos, since I had to show G_mac in the MNM thread.
I wasn't trying to say that nontechnical music is bland. What I meant was that when I heard that song, it felt like their was something missing. Just yesterday, I ripped the soundtrack to Tarzan by Phil Collins to my computer. It was one of the first peices I was addicted to, and I still love it to this day. :-D Also, I find most extremely tech music to be bland. It just so happens that I like Symphony X, and they were playing when I posted that. :p Call it coincidental timing, or something. |

Well, what can I say? Other than what I've said many times: Different strokes for different folks |
I find Phil Collins's voice to be one of the most annoying voiced in the world.

Jesus, He knows me... and He knows I'm right! I've been talkin' to Jesus... allllllll my life! Ah, yes, He knows me, and He knows I'm right... 'cause He's been tellin' me that everything's going to be alright, alright! I wanna know... will you show me? I wanna know about these strangers like me. I can't dance, I can't sing... the only thing they know about me is the way I walk! |
SU-SU-SUUUDIOOOOOOOO!!!!
Whose solo career was more unbearable: Phil Collins or Peter Gabriel? It's tough, isn't it? |
Byzantine - the song wasn't that bad. I liked how the snare went with the rhythm guitar, especially in the beginning with no vox. I don't really like the vox though; it seems kind of recycled and cliche to me. Not a bad song at all, but I would call myself a fan.
6/10
ever hear fran dresher talk? /wins
Most. Annoying. Brooklyn. Accent. Ever. |

6/10
Fair enough. I love the vocals that may be why I like them a lot. They also have incredible lyrics IMO. They are different than a lot of the bands they are somtimes grouped with though. I hear people tell me they are a lot like lamb of god, I can see no comparasant. You have to admit though, they do get you to like bob up and down. The guy on Friday Night Fights has the most annoying Brooklyn accent ever. I hate that guy. Is anyone here into Airsoft? It's awesome shooting with friends late at night. I know it's a half-ass, ultra-suburban, plastic version of paintballing [without all the gear and paint, of course], but it pretty fun.

I have a hard-cover, two-hundred page text book on Comparitive Animal Physiology that is both more interesting and lighter than the sheaf of handouts this guy has given me over the past 4 weeks. Ugh.
When I came out of the womb, I was listening to Kid A.
And I bet your mother was listening to The Bends.
