i walked out on my job two days ago. got so ****ing pissed, it was either i burn the place down or walk out, so i think i took the high road.

Because it was my second day on that job. I told our head line cook that I wasn't a breakfast cook, and that I could handle a whole dinner rush but would need help with breakfast because I'd never cooked in a restaurant that really had a breakfast menu. He agreed and told me to come in at 9am and he'd show me their breakfast menu. Well, the day before my shift I get a call from the owner telling me to come in at 6am. I show up at 5:30, he lets me in, and when I get back to the kitchen, Sherad, our head cook, left me a 2 hour prep list that had to be done by opening, which was only an hour away.

Basically, a lot of the **** on the list we didn't even have, nothing was stocked, noe one was there, and nothing was cleaned or prepped.I didn't even get halfway through the list before orders kept coming in. Not only had I never worked a breakfast shift there before, they decided to only have me work that day because my friend had called in. It was just ****ed up, a lot of stuff that was on peoples' order I didn't even have because apparently they're short on funds and don't order product from major food services.. I was just so infuriated, and whenever I'm working in a kitchen I have a temper, so I just threw my chef coat down and walked out.

Kinda messed up, but whatever. I have another job.
