I would never play games at Vegas that don't require some elements of skill, because they are designed so you will lose. At least playing Stud or Hold 'em will give me the false impression that I'm in control of my money.
Losing at gambling is sort of like being dumped. :thumb:

pigonthewing82 04-21-2005 07:25 PM

All those card games are great, but come on people we all know solitare off the computer is the best one.

It should be cool, but I don't know how good they will be after so long and the deaths of some of the original members.

I've heard that, too. But the only member i thought they lost was Duane. Shows going to be great. I also might be going to a Stones concert this summer.

I think Duanes the only one who died, but they have two new guitarists, a new bassist, and a new percussionist. Greg, Jaimone, and Trucks are the only originals left.

I might see them again this summer too.

They were great.

Jam2Me 04-21-2005 08:28 PM

I saw the Allmans twice...one of the best shows I've ever seen. The line-up was: Gregg, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Jaimo, Butch, and I don't remember the bassist I had it was someone that was filling in.

They sell out a lot of their shows, they still have it after all these years.

I would love to see that. The line-up looks very strong to me.

PinkFreud 04-21-2005 09:08 PM

derek trucks is a slide monster. even with warren and gregg, ive heard that he's like, the focal point of the band.

Yippidee-Doo-Dah 04-21-2005 11:01 PM

duana allman is number 2 only to hendrix for me... its a shame we wont have a band like the allmans in our time until people can over come their fears of expressin emotion... the allmans are to music what the beatles are to song writing

pigonthewing82 04-22-2005 10:12 AM

YES! I just found out I'm going to see Deep Purple, I'll be 13 rows back from the center stage. I'm going June 23rd

Woodstock 04-22-2005 01:00 PM

I might go see the Winter brothers this summer, but that's all I have to brag about. Nothing compared to the Allmans.
