I'm starting to get pretty addicted to Amesoeurs' s/t, I didn't like it alot when it first came out because it was nothing like the EP but it's a real grower. Really ****ing unique music.
i got alot of my friends into amesoeurs' stuff, then they used that as a springboard to Alcest :D
Who wants to hear some new Minenwerfer?

Here's a really really rough mix of a song. It's not done yet.

I present Teufel Mit Uns.
WITTR basically from what I remember.
TimJim 05-09-2010 10:34 PM

rasputin 05-10-2010 12:55 AM
that was really good, love the vocals

not sure if I dig the new Akitsa much
yeah i'm pretty disappointed with it

about to start a review for it, i think it will struggle to get a 7/10

DBlitz 05-10-2010 12:58 AM

i still haven't listened to La Grande Infamie, i've had it since Meatplow recommended to me though
if they are similar to WITTR then imma check dat out
there are similarities, especially to WITTRs first album, but they're not as drawn out (so they don't really get as boring) and there's a folkier bend to a lot of their stuff
i still haven't listened to La Grande Infamie, i've had it since Meatplow recommended to me though
that's their best.

their first two albums are pretty good too, and they've got a whole load of splits and **** i havent heard, some of which i've been told are good.

Stormrider 05-10-2010 07:07 AM

Sang Nordique I like a lot but Goetie I don't listen to much (was the other way around when I first heard both of them)

TimJim 05-10-2010 07:09 AM

Meatplow 05-10-2010 09:44 AM

what what what its amazing

Tyler 05-10-2010 01:16 PM

Didn't realize A Forest of Stars had a new song on their MySpace. Obviously it's really good, but some of the instruments used are a little weird. Pretty sure I hear some bongos or some ****

RetiredAt21 05-10-2010 01:29 PM

Has anyone listened to the "new" Paysage d'Hiver song on his myspace? It's pretty good, most of the song is black metal but of course it has good ambient parts and whatnot.

Tyler 05-10-2010 01:31 PM

why did you put new in quotes?

RetiredAt21 05-10-2010 01:39 PM

I think it says it was posted in '08 or something.

Meatplow 05-10-2010 01:46 PM
what what what its amazing
yeah check my comment below that :p sounded like the worst, tinniest production i've ever heard until I shifted the headphone jack a little.

I really enjoyed it

RetiredAt21 05-10-2010 01:46 PM

What's the new Akitsa album called?

Meatplow 05-10-2010 01:47 PM

Au crépuscule de l'espérance

Tyler 05-10-2010 01:47 PM

Au crépuscule de l'espérance

RetiredAt21 05-10-2010 01:47 PM

Aight gonna dl that when I get home from work.

Stormrider 05-10-2010 02:17 PM
yeah I just got the rest of their discography (Stormrider insisted I get it a long time ago)
hahah does that include their Aube de la Misanthropie compilation? I have a feeling you might really enjoy that one.

anyway, when you get the chance to listen to them, tell me what you think.

FatalEnergy 05-10-2010 03:34 PM

Someone in here recommended The Axis of Perdition, and I honestly think this would be awesome, but these ****ing programmed drums ****ing kill everything. Way too distracting, I can barely hear the ****ing riffs, ************.

bloozclooz 05-10-2010 03:38 PM

any good second wave BM similar to/that goes well with Emperor?

Tyler 05-10-2010 03:40 PM

Kataxu - Hunger of Element
Nokturnal Mortum - Goat Horns
Arcturus - Aspera Hiems Symfonia
Sear Bliss - Glory And Perdition

bloozclooz 05-10-2010 03:43 PM

not gonna lie those look pretty intimidating.

Tyler 05-10-2010 03:43 PM

what

rasputin 05-10-2010 06:39 PM

lol

Meatplow 05-10-2010 09:52 PM

Goat Horns rules, idk what happened to that symphonic BM period I went through

get Kadenzza's The Second Renaissance too bloozclooz the level of intimidation should be slightly lower
hahah does that include their Aube de la Misanthropie compilation? I have a feeling you might really enjoy that one.
