I'm doing homework and arguing with dipsh*ts who believe At the Gates is a sell out. A band who called it quits after their most successful album, during the gothenburg mdm explosion, a sell out. They would've exploited the **** out of that opportunity instead of quitting, if they were sell outs.

but anyone who seriously cares if a band is sell outs is a broken honky.

If fame corrupts a band's music, THAT'S when you can bitch about em.

Of course I never thought ATG was that great (one of the most repetitive bands ever, actually) but the solo in "Cold" is one of the nicest solos I know of.

I still listen to them from time to time, as they are imo the best band from the gothenburg scene...but you know that's like saying Korn is the best nu-metal band simply because their first album is decent.

I don't think amon amarth count. I don't think they're from gothenburg and even if they are they sound nothing like the other bands. They are pretty cool every once in a while.

In Flames was like the first band with harsh vocals that I ever got into. I can't stand them now though.
