I'm feeling crappy right now. I don't know if I feel like talking about it because it always kills any conversation because no one ever has anything to say.

My thing is that in less than a month it will be the one year anniversary of my mom's death. Just getting around this time of year is starting to bring up all these old emotions again and making me feel really upset.

Man, this is a tricky subject. There's not a whole lot of advice I can give you besides this... stay as clear-headed as you possibly can...if you start to feel especially bummed out just try to think of the good parts of your life. All you can do is try to cheer up man.

Exactly. I know it's a tricky subject, which is why I always have trouble bringing it up with people. Most people haven't been through anything like it, so they're just at a loss for words. Then even if others have been through it, it's different for everyone, everybody deals with it differently.

It's just the worst thing imaginable and it actually happened to me, and unless someone has been through it, they'll never know how bad it really is.

The "crap"....I just did something really stupid while I was getting down from a high, and might have ruined 2 friendships (although I hope not)


I was with my girlfriend for a little over a year...I just felt like it would go nowhere and didn't feel emotionally connected anymore, and if I kept with her, I'd feel like I was just using her for her body. However, she was under the impression that our relationship was perfect, and really made me feel guilty when I broke this to her... :upset:

That sucks, but if you weren't happy with it, what's the point?

Eh....I suppose I'll give you the abridged version, although I doubt youll be able to give advice.

Me and 4 friends go to one kid's house to smoke, and everyone else got drunk (I didn't drink). It all goes well. Everyone goes to sleep packed in the tiny room. Long story short, the kid I'm sleeping next to (he's straight, or so I thought) kinda gets a little close....eventually we ended up making out and feeling eachother up.

He's like my best friend, but I think things will be really awkward from now on... :upset:

Oof. I did that with my best friend too, though she's a she. And it did ruin our friendship, but there was underlying issues there too.

Wow. I can't really give any advice based on experience in this kind of situation. The first thing that comes to mind is to sit down with this friend and talk to him about it. Tell him that you were both high and/or drunk and that what happened was unintentional. If he is gay, tell him that you won't judge him because of that.

What's new everyone?

So, during gym warm-ups the other day, my friend changed the cd before class to a burned cd he made. The first track was Picard's song. I had never heard it before. I almost fell on the ground laughing. The next one was *** and Titties. None of the teachers noticed but some girl turned it off after 20 seconds.

Eh, I'm damn tired. I'm working too much but I want the money, so I guess I can't complain. I've got a ton of school work to do, too, and I'm neglecting it.

I dunno. I'm a firm believer that if your word count limit is 'too low,' it means you have too much to say that isn't relevent/important.

Yeah, that's usually true. On an essay I had I chose a topic that was a little too broad so the word count got a little out of hand. I definitely could have been a little more specific, but there were a lot of things I wanted to say on the subject. We were assigned 500 words, so a cookie to whoever can guess closest to my word count.

Nah. I wrote 2 papers for my English 1006 class last year that had a word cap of 500. I find it quite a challenge to get your point across articulately and concisely. It's fun.

I kept it that low, but it wasn't fun because I felt that I had to leave out a lot of stuff that I thought should have been said. I would have liked a limit of 750 for this project, but whatever.

Actually I have been getting very good marks on my written assignments this year. Averaging 90+, in university. I don't care if it is boring writing, marks is all that matters.
