I find Revolver slightly better than Rubber Soul, but not by much.

This Let It Be Sessions album is pretty good. Across The Universe is performed better and Paul and George singing All Things Must Pass is amazing. Their harmonizing capabilities are simply astounding.

Broken Arrow 09-06-2005 05:42 PM
What MMT!? That is my favorite album by them, every song minus one could've been a single.
Abbey Road is probably my least favorite because I can't stand She's So Heavy thats one of the worst songs I've heard.

MMT > Revolver = Rubber Soul > Sgt. Pep's > Abbey Road > White Album
Huh, I Want You(She's So Heavy) is one of my favourite Beatles songs.

MBS 09-06-2005 05:44 PM

I'm converting Anthology III right now, give it about 2 hours.

Edit: Meaning give it 2 hours when it's up. 1 and a half, if I'm lucky.

The version of Ob-La-Di on Anthology >>>>>>>>>>> White Album version.

That song is amazing. How you could disagree Jacaranda :(

I love Harrison in that song.

Broken Arrow 09-06-2005 05:58 PM

I love Paul in that song.
I love Paul in that song.
Yea, he has a couple of nice little bass fills. Who plays the organ in that song? George Martin maybe?

MBS 09-06-2005 06:48 PM

YSI is SOOO slow today....

XaosKnight 09-06-2005 06:55 PM

DeusExMachina 09-06-2005 08:08 PM

Gah, I dislike everything about that song, the drums on it really annoy me and it just gets carried out for too long. Boring lyrics. Too long for a song like that. I could go on. But I do like it right when they say "She's So..." thats about it.

Mean Mr Mustard 09-06-2005 11:29 PM
Huh, I Want You(She's So Heavy) is one of my favourite Beatles songs.
Yeah honestly, The song is Brilliant as well as the album. George Finally gets what he deserves.

btw Abbey Road> Rubber Soul> White Album> Help> Sgt. Pepper

Everything about I want you (She's so heavy) flows so perfectly. I disagree with you completly. But its ok to disagree. I am not a big fan of Helter Skelter. :)

Seafroggys 09-07-2005 12:03 AM

Die sinner! Helter Skelter is awesome!

It was inspired by The Who did you know?

And I Want You kicks *** too. I think those ocean waves at the end were made by the Moog if I'm not mistaken.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-07-2005 04:31 AM

I still can't get into Abby Road. :-/

WelcomeToTheMachine 09-07-2005 05:01 AM

I have a bnch o bootleg songs that im gonna put in one Zip folder when i get home, it has songs from 63,64,and 65,no full albms, just songs

Oh yeah, im really loving this version of Hey Jude on Anthology 3

Flaminghotchino 09-07-2005 03:56 PM
I still can't get into Abby Road. :-/
Abbey Roads okay compared to their others.

Flaminghotchino 09-07-2005 03:56 PM

Meaning It's not their best

robo2448 09-07-2005 06:44 PM

I think Abbey Road is perfect. Come Together and Something start the album off with great singles, both get 5/5 from me. Then Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Oh Darling are both really good songs, not the best, but still good. I like Maxwell's Silver Hammer more out of those 2 though. Octapus's Garden, I Want You, and Here Comes the Sun are 3 of my favorite songs ever, and the 2nd half of the album is genius. I think Abbey Road is one of their best. Give it a few more listens.

rockinbass17 09-07-2005 07:37 PM

I don't know, I always thought Come Together and Here Comes the Sun were a bit overrated. Something is quite a good song, though. The rest of the album is pretty good, but I never compared it to their others.

BludgeonySteve 09-07-2005 07:38 PM
Here Comes the Sun were a bit overrated..
That little bit of your post made me very mad. Here Comes the Sun is underrated if anything. Come Together isn't all that great though.

robo2448 09-07-2005 07:44 PM

I think Come Together and Here Comes the Sun are both amazing. Come Together was the first Beatles song that I really loved, and Here Comes the Sun is just a beautiful song with great lyrics and singing. Probably my 2nd favorite George song after WMGGW. Just ahead of Something.

Jacaranda 09-07-2005 07:46 PM

My first memory of the Beatles was my Poetry teacher insisting on my class learning Here Comes the Sun in sign language.
Has anyone seen the duet with George Harrison and Paul Simon on SNL in the 70's?

No. Is it good? I bet Simon and Harrison could put some pretty good vocal harmonies together. I didn't even know George has friends with Paul Simon. George was friends with everyone. He's so cool, he's like the most connected guy ever.

magicbus 09-07-2005 07:50 PM

I wish I was friends with him. George was the coolest.

rockinbass17 09-07-2005 07:56 PM

Hmm.... my group of friends are all obsessed over AR, and play it alot, so maybe HCTS is just overplayed for me. I don't know, I just have heard it almost every day the past few months. For that, I never wanna know the sun's coming again.

BludgeonySteve 09-07-2005 08:05 PM

This is why you should NOT listen to a song so much you get sick of it.

Jacaranda 09-07-2005 08:21 PM

Oh its amazing. Paul and him sing so well together. I'll see if I can't find it online somewhere.

thunderzstruck 09-07-2005 08:26 PM
This is why you should NOT listen to a song so much you get sick of it.
I HATE it when I do that, I mean such an awesome song but it just gets dull

I did that kinda with the Spirit of Radio :(:(

BludgeonySteve 09-07-2005 09:57 PM

Me too. Exept basically the whole Perminent Waves album :(

Seafroggys 09-07-2005 11:23 PM

I think Abbey Road is perfect.

Leper 09-07-2005 11:52 PM

What's your favourite song on Abbey Road Seafroggys?

BassMasterMike88 09-08-2005 07:28 AM
I think Abbey Road is perfect.
That reminds me about a debate i was having with the guitar player in my band, about the lyrics of "Come Together" on Abby Road. I say it descirbes politicaly radical people, while my guitar player says its just about some homless person, they both make sence but i think my interpertation sounds more like somthing the Lenon would write.

magicbus 09-08-2005 10:57 AM

I really like Across The Universe. It's easy, yet fun, to play on guitar, and the lyrics are really flowing and just sound great.

DeusExMachina 09-08-2005 11:01 AM

Across the Universe is one of the first songs I ever learned to play. It's great.

I'm not a big fan of I Want You, but I absolutely love Here Comes the Sun. One of Harrison's best, along with Something and WMGGW.

Mean Mr Mustard 09-08-2005 02:09 PM
What's your favourite song on Abbey Road Seafroggys?
Mean Mr Mustard easily. Oops im not Seafroggys. :)

I always just thought it was a nonsense song, like I am the Walrus.

sandman420 09-08-2005 02:29 PM

Its an amazing song. Come Together is about the Beatles each verse describes one of them.
