Sum 41

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-21-2005 05:07 PM

I got the new Coheed and Cambria last night. It is amazing. I love it.

deadohiosky9 09-21-2005 05:30 PM

i thought the new coheed and cambria was insanely repititive. he uses the same riff and makes variations for every song. got on my nerves.

whiteminority 09-21-2005 05:33 PM
I got the new Coheed and Cambria last night. It is amazing. I love it.
I got it yesterday, too. It's great.

And I'm seeing them in November :D

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-21-2005 05:45 PM

I'm seeing them in October.

Mute Print 09-21-2005 05:46 PM

Nice. Have you seen them before?

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-21-2005 05:48 PM

Yes, I have. Last year at warped tour. I met the bassist and got my CD signed by him. :) it was a good day.

whiteminority 09-21-2005 05:50 PM

yeah so i am not as impressed as i thought i would be by the red scare.

Mute Print 09-21-2005 05:53 PM
Yes, I have. Last year at warped tour. I met the bassist and got my CD signed by him. :) it was a good day.
Awesome. I saw them at Warped last year as well. I think it will be even better to see them at a smaller venue.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 09-21-2005 06:06 PM

Ya it probrally is.

Saturday Supercade 09-22-2005 02:03 AM

Co&Ca are good, I saw them twice, good live show! Haven't heard a lot from the new album besides Welcome Home and a couple of songs they played live. But I ordered the new cd today so I'll find out in a couple of days if it's a good album.

Sep 09-22-2005 03:02 AM
yeah so i am not as impressed as i thought i would be by the red scare.
That's because they aren't that impressive.

Sep 09-22-2005 03:06 AM

And the new Coheed album will be shipped tomorrow for me. That means it's still 2 weeks till I'll get it.

Wow 09-22-2005 03:50 AM

It's not too good. Amazing intro, though.

Sep 09-22-2005 09:15 AM

The 3 tracks I've heard of it are incredible. Especially Wake Up.

I will probably love it because I'm so biased towards them.

Deadgrass 09-22-2005 11:38 AM

I really enjoy "Mother May I". Something about that track just rocks.

whiteminority 09-22-2005 02:37 PM
That's because they aren't that impressive.
i bought capillary lockdown and it is sort of mediocre.

tornpictures 09-22-2005 03:24 PM

No way dude, that's one amaazing album. It's like Orchid mixed with Shotmaekr

whiteminority 09-22-2005 03:34 PM
No way dude, that's one amaazing album. It's like Orchid mixed with Shotmaekr
the music wasn't like normal screamo it was like more rock-based almost, I don't know it is hard to explain.

tornpictures 09-22-2005 03:46 PM

OH NO, MIXED GENRES!!! WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO?!!

Give it some time, you'll love it

Hey dude, I live about an hour away from Knoxville(TN right?). I never knew that there was a decent music scsene up there? Could you suggets me some bands and venues to look into, or maybe upcoming shows? Knoxville is teh closest city to me, and I hate driving up to Lexingont(2 hours) and Louisville(3-4 hours) just to see smaller bands.

Cool. They are really good.

Special Brew 09-23-2005 04:11 PM

No need to be ashamed. I like Alexisonfire too.
No need to be ashamed. I like Alexisonfire too.
That is one reason he should be ashamed.

Actually, they're alright. I don't hate 'em, but I don't love 'em.

deadohiosky9 09-23-2005 05:15 PM

Alexisonfire has awesome singing, but their screaming is horrible. Waaay too much vocal distortion/effects.

-1up!- 09-23-2005 05:22 PM

Yeah Dallas has an awesome voice for singing.

OMG, HORSE The Band's new CD. Them crazy nuts.

deadohiosky9 09-23-2005 05:30 PM

Have you heard Dallas's solo stuff? Its kinda good except he sings in falsetto like 98% of the time, and its realllllly annoying.

Sep 09-24-2005 06:15 AM

What's singing in falsetto?

And I love Dallas' solo stuff. Alexisonfire have some really cool songs too.

I think I can make it to this one, but I may have a gig the next day, on the 22nd. I don't like this band as much, but the deeper vocalist is tight.
I can't get their Myspace to work right. I like some of the 'cliche mtv emo', so I may like them once I hear them. Hopefully I can make it to most of these shows.

Btw, if you ever see a band called Blame It On Rio, son't support them at all. They are a bunch of dicks that need to wreck their van. We got them lost somewhere around London, so I guess it's even now. :p

Falsetto is like... The high girly voice above your normal voice. Hard to explain. And yeah I've heard Dallas's solo stuff, it's amazing but I'm not into acoustic so I got tired pretty fast.

Sep 09-25-2005 10:18 AM

Ah I know what you mean.
