Nice, I'll be sure to pick that up!

They are coming to Windsor on Saturday, can't wait!

Tyler 12-17-2008 03:27 PM

I might go to the show tomorrow, I'm not sure. They want me to work security for it but eff that.

awia 12-17-2008 03:49 PM

Please tell me you're female... or have really nice legs haha.

Benzilla 12-18-2008 01:00 AM

It's really amazing how far they've come. A friend of mine and I spent a half hour or so sending each other youtube videos of old Protest songs and it's like they are two different bands.

I agree, they have matured in these 3 or 4 years...

Chriblan 12-19-2008 02:47 PM

Ah, Spoils! Greatness.

Thanks for the link sir.

Tyler 12-19-2008 04:48 PM

Word on the street is they didn't actually film the show last night.

Chriblan 12-19-2008 04:56 PM

What? Why not...

James46n2 12-19-2008 06:07 PM

I dunno if they filmed it or not. I didn't notice any extra cameras there. If they made a DVD from the feed that showed up on the Sound Academy screens it'd be kinda lame.

It was a sweet show though. The guys have all the songs pretty ****ing tight now. They've been touring this stuff for awhile. You'll enjoy it tomorrow, Chriblan. If you're lucky, you may get to hear The Pro-Smoking Cigarette Song.

Chriblan 12-19-2008 06:13 PM

Ah cool!

Yea, I`m super pumped!

I`m glad to hear that they still kickass live.

I think this is their last Canada show, so, it`s gotta be good!

Chriblan 12-20-2008 11:33 PM

Just got back from the Protest show and... WOW!

F u c k i n g amazing! Like, wow, unbelievable!!!

Rody made me laugh my *** off, Luke tore up that guitar and Arif was a god on stage!

Everything about it was perfect. I got a few elbows in the face, but, no biggy. great ****!

Dimmu Burger 12-22-2008 08:51 PM

Tyler 12-23-2008 01:49 AM

wtf

Pastorius 12-23-2008 08:32 AM

It's a reference to the famous PTH song, 'No To Tacos'

Dimmu Burger 12-23-2008 08:35 AM

Protest The Gyro, which is pronounced Hero. Get it?

publicastration 12-23-2008 08:45 AM

cute

but that doesn't really look like a gyro

Pastorius 12-23-2008 10:12 AM

wtf is a gyro

TheSyncopath 12-23-2008 11:31 AM

Ok finally heard this band. I heard Fortress in its entirity.

Very impressed with the guitar work. Some great originality shown here. A+ compositio, arrangement and songwriting skills. No song felt burdening or tiresome. Bass work is great too. Vocals were good when he stuck with mid-range clean. High cleans sounded thin and whiny at times. Screams sounded thin and powerless. Drumming was fairly decent.

I'd give Fortress a 4/5

Tyler 12-23-2008 01:55 PM

Since when is Gyro pronounced "Hero"?

Dimmu Burger 12-23-2008 02:59 PM

Since it has always been a greek word that is pronounced that way. Only in reference tot he food though, not for words like "gyroscope."
wtf is a gyro
It's a greek food that is made at lots of sub shops. It's beef (lamb originally) with lettuce, tomato, onions and a cucumber sauce. It's yummy!

Tyler 12-23-2008 03:00 PM

I've always said "G-eye-ro". Take that, Greek ****s.
