^^ Why do you always use the ` instead of ' ? Not that it bothers me, but I'm just curious.

Kreator: Try Ausgebombt.

Scored Atheist - Unquestionable Presence of a mate today :D And has anyone heard any Spiral Architect? Listened to it today, and ****ing hell, it's changed my musical perspective so much. It's like Dream Theater, but triple the technical bits, and minus the wanking. It's Watchtower x 2.

manuscriptreplica 06-30-2004 09:21 AM

P.S I don't like any Death Angel - it bores the **** outta me.

J Met: You up for another CD trade? I have heaps more CD's now.

sensitiveorgan00 06-30-2004 09:50 AM

Yeah, Spiral Architect is fvcking intense.

DisposableHeroes 06-30-2004 10:33 AM

my Megadeth-rust in peace came yesterday, but it wasnt vinyl like the bastard stated

DimebagDarrell 06-30-2004 11:08 AM

^ sucks, send it back

next on my list is dew scented - impact

Ratmevilempire 06-30-2004 11:19 AM

That sucks, anyways 3 days till I see Van Halen if anyone cares.

DisposableHeroes 06-30-2004 11:36 AM

i think next i need some more dark and death angel stuff, but i'm gonna get hell awaits on vinyl first

Griffin_Page 06-30-2004 02:53 PM

Man, I've been awaiting Dark Angel forever now.. and it turns out i wont be getting it.. they cant get it, so im just getting a refund.

GraveRobbersINC 06-30-2004 04:43 PM

:sigh: I wish I could find some of these albums in stores instead of having to order most of this **** online.

Ratmevilempire 06-30-2004 07:23 PM

^ya,i agree 100% or if u can find it its hideously overpriced.

Shady Ultima 06-30-2004 07:27 PM

I was recently in North Bay, and I went to a used book store, and I found these two old magazines, one from '87 the other from '86. One was called Thrash Metal and the other Heavy Metal Hot Shots, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of them. I searched around and couldn't find any.

Corporal Compendia 06-30-2004 07:52 PM

uh.. Nope. Buy 'em man! Or did you? How much can a used magazine be?!

Shady Ultima 06-30-2004 07:59 PM

I bought them obviously 1.70 each, but everything there was cheap, I doubt the'd even know if they were rare. The Thrash Metal one is only the second issue

FatalEnergy 06-30-2004 09:48 PM
Man, just listened to Slayer's 'Hell Awaits'. This is like their best album.
Indeed it is

mexicanfloydian 06-30-2004 11:39 PM

^^^^ I prefer reign in blood, seasons in the abyss and south of heaven than hell awaits.

mexicanfloydian 06-30-2004 11:40 PM

I made a thread about this and only faceinthesky answered me, and i want diferent opinions to buy the ones that more people agreed with.

What are the best 2 or 3 anthrax albums.

manuscriptreplica 07-01-2004 03:30 AM

Among the Living and Persistence of Time, for me.

JMetallica 07-01-2004 03:44 AM

State of Euphoria, Persistence of Time and Spreading the Disease :D

DimebagDarrell 07-01-2004 03:53 AM
The makers of "Get Thrashed", the upcoming documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene, have announced that the DVD version of the film — due in early 2005 — will feature over an hour of extra footage that will not be seen when "Get Thrashed" airs on cable television this fall. An simultaneous international DVD release is also planned. "We are still working on an international television airing as well but as of right now that is [to be determined]," reads a posting at GetThrashed.com.

As previously reported, filming for "Get Thrashed" was recently completed and the show is currently being edited. Post-production should be completed this fall, with an air date and location to follow soon after.

"Get Thrashed", the brainchild of director Rick Ernst, a longtime freelance producer for MTV, will include interviews with METALLICA, SLAYER, ANTHRAX, EXODUS, GODSMACK, DISTURBED, SEVENDUST, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, DEATH ANGEL, SHADOWS FALL, MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STONE SOUR, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, LAMB OF GOD, VIO-LENCE, KREATOR, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, VOIVOD, CHIMAIRA, BIOHAZARD, FOZZY singer/WWE superstar Chris Jericho, SEPULTURA, KITTIE, THE HAUNTED, D.R.I., SOILWORK, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, HEATHEN, Brian Slagel, Jon & Marsha Zazula, authors Ian Christe ("Sound of the Beast") and Steven Blush ("American Hardcore"), NY metal radio DJ Eddie Trunk, "Radio Rampage"'s Ron Quintana, as well as unsigned thrash bands OSMIUM, CONCRETE COFFIN and VISCID.
Cinemateic release?

a8o 07-01-2004 07:40 AM
Nonsense. Reign in Blood always has been and always will be Slayer's best, and is the 2nd best thrash album on the planet.
Behind what?
personally, the way I look at is that the songwriting isn't very good on the album, it just kind of seems like all of the songs sound the same, don't get me wrong I love Reign In Blood, but I find Hell Awaits and Haunting The Chapel far more superior albums
That's the idea I think. It's so short - it's a half hour assault and then its over. The songwriting doesn't need to be as varied on Reign in Blood as it would on a double LP (had it been released). I think the additional tracks actually diminish the overall quality of this album: short it was meant to be.

Subscribes to the old maxim to keep em wanting more.

Darkness Descends, I would imagine.

Doh. Should've read the first page.

I agree,Among the Living is the Masterpiece,Spreading the Disease is really good, so is persistance of time. All solid albums but I like Spreading the Disease and Among the Living best. :thumb:

yeah, the best anthrax albums have been with belladonna though the new one isnt too bad. Persistence has some really good songs but i thought it had one or two that just werent as good, you know?

DimebagDarrell 07-01-2004 10:23 AM
Cinemateic release?
i dont think its going to be in the cinema :( which sucks but as it says in that post somewhere expect it out about early 2005

Ve Das 07-01-2004 11:22 AM
^^ Why do you always use the ` instead of ' ? Not that it bothers me, but I'm just curious.
´cause I can type but fast that way due to german keyboard layout ;)

Ve Das 07-01-2004 11:22 AM

*butt fast...

Shady Ultima 07-01-2004 12:56 PM

I don't really like Anthrax's older stuff that much with Belladonna. He was a singer, and for Thrash I never thought he really fit. I like Bush a lot more, IMO he's got a much more metal sounding voice.
