NP: The Avalanches - Since I Left You

What a genius idea for an album! 18 tracks, ALL of samples - not a single thing on there's original, all samples, and yet it all makes a full album - though, each track runs into each other, so you COULD think of it as a 1-hour piece of all samples geniusly mixed. Brilliant!

NP: The Avalanches - Flight Tonight

Untitled 06-27-2006 02:35 PM

Yeah i hate being skint.

But i hate being skint and having a job more, like now.

I got paid close to £500, i owned my mum half of that, i needed to buy stuff to decorate my room, driving lesson, some cloths, and loads of art stuff, so im down to about £50.

All of that stuff i did need though, but i was determind to end the month with £100+ in the bank, but i realy wont, its 3 week till pay day.

Saying that, im on the summer hols, i will do nothing at all.

Mexican Bandito 06-27-2006 02:38 PM

You painting a guitar? I think I read you were building one.

What type of paint do I need for clear coat? I'm told Plasticote Lacquer Primer, but don't know if this is available in the UK. I'm refinishing a dull guitar, will look great finished up.

Mexican Bandito 06-27-2006 03:27 PM

PAJJ 06-27-2006 03:57 PM

At least McFly have a great name, Back to the Future is one of the best movies.

Refl 06-27-2006 03:58 PM

Good pop is better than lot of rock/metal etc.

Baz Turd 06-27-2006 03:58 PM

They're starring in a film... I don't think it's based around them.

Untitled 06-27-2006 04:00 PM
Good pop is better than lot of rock/metal etc.
I agree.

Tbh id rather be ridiculed for enjoying a band like Mcfly, than listening to some absolute crap so i fit in.

ChodaBoy 06-27-2006 04:01 PM
Good pop is better than lot of rock/metal etc.
Its alot easier to sing to than death metal!

Baz Turd 06-27-2006 04:05 PM

Depends what mood I'm in really.

IMO good metal > cheesy pop

But there is so much awful metal around... that most of the time pop gets my vote.

Untitled 06-27-2006 04:06 PM

I wouldnt say mcfly are cheesy any more, there new matieral sounds good too, ive heard a new song on the wireless, sounds good.

Baz Turd 06-27-2006 04:11 PM

I haven't heard their new material... but I really didn't like the older stuff. Don't get me wrong... I love pop. They're a good band... just really not my cup of tea.

Untitled 06-27-2006 04:22 PM

Fair Do's

I dont like people who will just dismiss them because there pop.

Like i was having an arguement with a mate, he say he hates all dance, i said i dislike the majority of it, but love some acts, you can never totaly rule out a genre.

Ironicaly aswell, Mcfly are proberly one of the most talented bands i listen to, they are realy good musicians.

And, they went to the college adam goes to, and is down the road from my college, so it makes me like them more.

(well, 2 of them are)
