Yeahhh, McCartneys comin' to Iowa. 50 bucks a ticket, I think I'm going to go. :)

Broken Arrow 04-19-2005 07:33 PM

I'm pretty sure Bonzo and plant were there. I'm not sure about Jimmy but JPJ I dont think was there.
Hey, you know who a cool classic rock guy is? Ted Nugent *nods head*.
2 troo. Hey Baby is probably the greatest rock song ever written, not gonna lie.

Regardless of how good Paul McCartneys live show, I would never listen to him as anything but a Beatle. Much of McCartneys solo career was a side time for music, especially Wings.

Ouch, third page guys.

Anyways, at only 50 bucks a ticket that's definitely worth it. I thought Scyhma said something about 250$/ticket, that would be way out of my price range for this summer.

Thanks, Badmoon used it awhile ago. Since I played a key role in making it for him (resizing it so he could use it), I figured I could use it now.

He'll probably cry about it though :p

I still have no news on price for Madison Sq. Gardens :(

NP: Montana- Frank Zappa

ATM 04-20-2005 06:07 PM

Good song. It's so amazing to me that Zappa never did drugs, because some of the music he comes up with is so out there.

lunch998 04-20-2005 06:19 PM

We could probably get some trivia going now if you guys are up for it.

No one ever has it planned, you can just come up with it. Or we can just fuck around like we usually do.

I'm down.

We'd probably just end up fucking around with the occassional question, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Is there any other kind of chat? :p

BludgeonySteve 04-20-2005 08:41 PM

That's always fun. Although if we were to do a debate it would have to be planned.

Has anyone in this thread been able to catch Bob Dylan on tour?

A few of my friends caught him when he stopped in Boston: two went to see him on Saturday, three saw him on Sunday. They said that while he was clearly affected by all the drugs he's done in his lifetime, he still managed to turn in a solid performance, even if he did too much of the new stuff, they said. And on the encore on Sunday he did, and I quote my friend, "The greatest version of 'All Along The Watchtower' I have ever heard".

So talking to them has sparked my interest in Bob Dylan again. I have to say, I'm beginning to like his version of "All Along The Watchtower" better than Hendrix's.

Illmatic 04-21-2005 10:56 AM

Zappa was completely against drug use, actually. I was shocked to find out too.
