i remember the first 3 hours or so of ffvii, up to kalm, extremely fucking well

it would have to be a really freak unfortunate set of circumstances to lead to a false conviction

i don't understand why so many dudes bring it up like it's a symptom of misandric culture or something because it's really not that common

the reason rape is so vilified atm is because it's something a lot of dudes seem to think they can get away with and people make so many jokes about it/use it as a threat so much of the time

you can't have a discussion about it without some people denying it even happens, some people saying it's the worst thing ever others saying it's just a particular form of assault and that women are incapable of taking responsibility for the behaviour that may or may not invite the offence

individual rapists and their victims bear the brunt of the popular polemical attitude to the subject because the former get really inappropriate punishments and the latter get really inappropriate support

a close friend of mine is looking at prison time atm for a sexual assault - i personally think that bringing the law into the particular situation is intrusive and will probably prevent the victim from getting over it cause she'll probably never talk to the dude again, plus he'll never really learn his lesson for the exact same reason

the way I look at it is (on the subject of whether rape is really as bad as most people make it out to be)

if you got in a mutual fight with a bro of yours, that would be much less personal than if you mutually had sex with each other

now imagine if both were NOT mutually agreed upon, they'd be worse than before but the sexual encounter would be much more traumatic.

can't see how someone can say that normal assault and sexual assault are equivalent. Sexual encounters are different and heavier than other encounters

and which situation? Ron's friend's? honestly sounds like a weird case, I really have no idea why she would accuse him of rape but they really should do their best to find out the truth because that shit's fucked.
Some guy in Ottawa that did a talk for my friend's law class was wrongly accused of rape by some girl and he spent 10 years in prison, and since he was proven innocent the woman has been found to have lied over and over again and they aren't even sure how many people are in prison that shouldn't be

he basically got drunk to the point of not being able to speak and did something invasive to a mutual friend of ours while she was passed out, idk what precisely, she woke up in the middle of it

well did she talk to him at all afterward?

as far as i know she was like wtf is wrong with you then left the room, went downstairs and hung out for a while with some other people then went home

i THINK she sent him a text afterwards saying it was fucked, then he replied apologetically but never got a response

the way it's been told to me he wasn't really in a fit state to take responsibility immediately after it happened
